I have a 2019 RT Limited SE6. Can I change the transmission filter without dumping the oil? The Tran filter is due to be changed but I don’t need an oil change yet. Also what service interval do you use?

Wait until the next oil change. It's not a mess but it's that dam little screw at the bottom next to the frame I believe that is a PITS to get out. Once you get the cover off and have the filter in your hand you are going to wonder what the he!! is this going to filter? Well, it's simply a chunk catcher and for the price, I guess it's worth it. I kept my old one because it looked exactly like the new one. No debris and no chunks no nothing. So, if I ever need one I have an extra, the original one. Why, because it looks exactly like a new one. My spyder is a 2014 RTS SE6 so I'm sure your 19 is the same.
:agree: .... IO did mine a few years back and felt the same way ..... I'm about to change it again and this will in all likely hood be the last time. .... I will only CLEAN the filter, and put it back ..... JMHO .... Mike
My next oil change is at 30,950. Can I wait till then to change Tran filter for the first time?

this is asked in pure ignorance; Aren't you supposed to change filters each time you change oil on Rotex engines?

I would venture a guess that most on here who have changed their own HCM filter have done so without using BUDS.Have any of you changed the HCM filter without BUDS? I have a 2021 RTL, and I have a 2015 RTS as well that I did without using BUDS, but I'm just curious as to if it should be done with BUDS.
That's is where I did mine at, I believe the manual calls for it @ 28,000. I chose to do it at 30K as I change my oil at 5k intervals, plus it makes it easier to remember 30K, 60k, 90k, etc; so it will land at the same time as an oil change. My next oil change is at 30,950. I have done mine without BUDS. After the change, just let it idle for a while before you take it out, to get all of the air out of it.Have any of you changed the HCM filter without BUDS? BRP should be so smart...That's is where I did mine at, I believe the manual calls for it @ 28,000. I chose to do it at 30K as I change my oil at 5k intervals, plus it makes it easier to remember 30K, 60k, 90k, etc; so it will land at the same time as an oil change.
