• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

HI Dasmoterhead,

Here in Vermont we are starting to get some cool weather. Some of the trees are starting to show their colors.
When I get a chance I do take rides, ( sometimes life gets in the way!).

Life definitely does LOL. Its sure is a beautiful state you live in.
I've only been able to sneak a ride or 2 lately. We're currently unpacking our household goods into our new place.

All true, it is nice in summer, but I head South before the white stuff starts falling out of the sky. Rode that area a lot, White Mountains, Kancamagus Highway, through the Lake Country, and get good prices staying at the off season ski resorts. Nice weather, not real hot, like Florida in July. My son lives up there and I used to ride up there every summer and visit him.

I took some time to wire in a few accessories:

- Showchrome Electronic Fuse Block: This is a plug-and-play adapter that separates the accessory wiring from the Spyder wiring and powers accessories directly from the battery.

- Front Wheel Mounted Fog Lights (see pictures): Bought and tried a few brackets and finally found ones that work. I had these lights on my Honda Rebel 1100 and for they price, they work well. These are wired into the Showchrome fuse block into one of the Keyed ports.
The wire routing from the lights to the Showchrome fuse block took the most amount of time with this project. There are a lot of moving and hot areas in the path and careful routing and protection of the wires is a must.

- Heated Gear Port: As the cooler weather sets in, I wired in the port for my Gerbing heated gear. This is connected directly to the battery and the port sits right under the rider's seat.

- Android Auto Device (See picture): I had this device on my motorcycles and so wired in the holder for it. I can move it between my Spyder and my Trident and it wirelessly connects to my Android phone and my helmet. This is wired into the Showchrome fuse block into one of the keyed ports.
