• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can anyone recommend a TPMS system other than FOBO?

I checked with Garmin last year because my Zumo 590 has the capability but was told they discontinued it, assume because of low usage.

I did notice that the low pressure was down to 29 I think psi. If you are running car tires, you would need it to go down to around 18 psi.
Yes, this unit has programmable alarms for high temperature, high pressure, and low pressure. The DEFAULT low pressure alarm is 27 PSI, but you can change it.

If I end up installing one of these on my Spyder, I'll also install these T valve stems that I put on my Beemer:

Put the sensor on the straight-out end, and adjust pressure using the side.

Good to know, it didn't say that you could change that setting from what I was reading!
Thanks!

I see these are not recommended for rubber tire stems.
None of the external units are recommended for rubber stems, however it is due to stem failure on older stems. Some people never change their valve stems, so it is a liability for the manufacturer. They also offer a system with internal sensors.

The T valve stems I use on my Beemer (and I will install on my Spyder) are metal. When I first installed the TPMS on my Beemer, I didn't have the T stems. Adjusting tire pressure was a real pain. After a year, I made it a point to install the T stems at my next tire change.

I bought a cheaper TPMS for my second bike, and I am not so sure of its accuracy. The FOBO for my RT is spot on when I check with a good tire gauge. I'm sorry I wasted my money on the cheaper system for the other bike, I should have stayed with FOBO even if a bit more costly. I recommend you get the FOBO.

I can't get the app to function correctly and I have already returned them.
That's been my issue with them, but after you struggle to get them working like they should, they're a sweet addition to the spyder. Getting the app to work correctly (or easily) is a definite PIA! I texted them and told them about it. But no sympathy at all, oh well.
