There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BrpGo cable connection - would a wireless CarPlay adapter work? Anyone tried it?

The cable connection for the iPhone is in frunk.
Would a wireless CarPlay adapter work?
It’s really inconvenient for the phone to be in the frunk.
Anyone tried it?

The phone connection is in the storage compartment just above the dash on my F3, not in the frunk.

It’s hard to offer a solution unless you tell us year and model, as Racoon suggests, John. Or better still, add it to a signature line.
(Just because you have posted in the F3 section doesn’t mean you own an F3…..you could own an RT but have accidentally posted from there😉)

I added it to signature, but don’t see a way to add a photo

So I downloaded the 2022 F3 Operator's Guide from https://www.operatorsguides.brp.com

On Page 64 in the section "Using the Audio Input Jack and USB Ports" it has a diagram of the "glove box" on top of the display showing the Audio in jack and USB jack.
On Page 41 it has this information about the Glove Box:

Glove Box

Some models come equipped with a glove box, over the digital display, to carry small personal items.

Audio in jack and USB connector are also located here.

Pull on the rear cover tab of glove box to open.

But then there's some bad news. No where in the 2022 F3 Operator's Guide do I see any mention of Apple CarPlay.
In my 2024 RT Operator's Guide there are 10 references to CarPlay.

The only references to Apple in the 2022 guide refer to downloading the BRP Connect App to your iPhone.

So it looks like your 2022 only supports BRP Connect/BRP Go. There's a link in the 2022 Operators Guide for information about BRP Connect/BRP Go:
www.brpconnecttutorial.com

That's a general webpage for all BRP/CAN-AM products, so you'll need to scroll down to the CAN-AM ON-ROAD link for more information.

I also downloaded a copy of the 2023 Operator's Guide and it has the same information about BRP Connect/BRP Go as the 2022 Guide, and no mention of Apple CarPlay. That corresponds to my understanding that Apple CarPlay support was first added on the 2024 models.

As to your question about a wireless CarPlay adapter, I don't think that will work, since all it does is eliminate the wired connection, not add Carplay capabilities to your display.

I think you're stuck with something like a Carpuride device mounted to your handlebars: https://carpuride.com/
I would also suggest looking at Garmin Zumo XT or Zumo XT2 GPS models.

Has anybody ever got the connect/BRP App to work on a 2022 F3S? I've tried to do it off and on for a year. The F3S has the handlebar volume switch, phone connect switch, and also the menus on the gauge cluster using the joy stick? but none of it works. Never did.

What year and model of Spyder do you have?

The connection on my 2024 Spyder RT is in the "glove box" storage compartment in front of the handlebars.

Yes, the storage compartment just above the dash and the "glove box" are the same thing.

True, I don’t expect CarPlay.
I hoped to eliminate a wired connection to the phone.
My 2022 F3 S model does not have a glove box.

MY 2022 F3S has no glove box nor a USB port anywhere on or above the dash. I can't help you with the connection since I don't connect a phone to the bike. ;)

Well. Ummm. Let's see...

Okay, if you aren't interested in Carplay, then one of the USB/Wireless adapters might work.
I'd do some Google searching to identify one within your budget, and then contact the manufacturer, explaining what you are trying to accomplish.

I'm sorry I wasn't of any help. :(

There’s no need to add a photo unless you really want to, John……
As per BRP Connect, unfortunately I don’t know enough about the F3-S to know how owners have handled the phone in the frunk. Heck, I don’t even know if the F3-S without the “glove box” even has BRP Connect included…..sorry. Hopefully a “non glovebox F3-S” owner will be along shortly to answer your question.

According to the BRP website literature, the 2022 F3-S Special Series had BRP Connect capability, but not the F3-S model. BRP Connect had so many idiosyncrasies that most users never got any benefit of it. (I tried to get it to work for the first couple of years of owning a 2018 F3-Limited: it never worked with our Android-based Samsung phones and we were not going to change cell phones to get a POS app to marginally work on that machine.) As I further understand, BRP Go was not backward compatible to use on the older machines.

Sincerely, I'd spend my time getting an in-helmet comm system to work with your phone and call it good. We currently have a 2024 F3-L SS that has a dedicated Garmin XT GPS installed, paired with our Sena 30K headsets and Samsung S24 Ultras that work great. Music, comm, cell phone (if needed) and GPS where you don't have consistent cell phone coverage. (I tried to make a cellphone call sitting at the Lost Maples RV park/gas station - no service.)
