• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else have website opening issues over the last couple of days?

I reckon you gotta do what ya gotta do but, Damm you could have given us some warning beforehand. I thought my phone was all screwed up, and went through the hassle of trouble shooting at 0630 in the morning.
Glad it's back up.

I believe that the software previously used to add some sig pics and the maps etc. is not compatible with this latest Forum platform, so there will be a need to work out exactly what software to use and how to do it. In the meantime, some Signatures will display correctly; some won't; and they'll all help us to work out what's the best way forward...

So probably the best thing to do with/about your 'missing sig pics' for now is to hurry up and wait until it's all worked out?! We'll let you know as soon as we know! (y)

It would have assisted greatly if a note regarding the impending change had been pinned to the old site (or at least SOME type of communication provided) prior to any new work commencing.

Most of the comments/questions/anxiety would not have been necessary, nor would the concern of whether the site had been hacked and I was about to be hacked also.

As an ex IT manager, I have seen this “do it quick and it will be too late for complaints” attitude from IT boffins all too frequently. All it does it create ill will between IT groups and their customers……or in one case, very nearly sent a large Aussie Telco into receivership.

It's been more than a couple of days for me, My account was locked out almost 2 weeks ago but since the MX records to the site is all borked I couldn't get an email through the password reset system and when creating a new account a couldn't not receive the registration email either when attempting to create a new account to get back in.

I tried informing Lamonster through the facebook page about the email issues with site, but got a response back that it was low priority. I had to create an new account using a different address than my gmail address.

The email issue is still broken. If there is a site admin paying attention to this please fix your MX records as gmail and other email providers are now rejecting emails from servers as they are requiring dmarc records which means spyderlovers emails for password resets and registration confirmation will not go through to those users. Please fix this so I can get my account back.

As mentioned in my reply to your DM, I've forwarded this to our one & only very overworked atm IT bloke, so he'll get it!

But as you can imagine, he's a little busy right now, and has been pretty much since a few days BEFORE those database errors mentioned back at the start of this thread kicked in - so you juuust might need to be a little patient. ;)

Will do, I just wanted to let someone know what is going on. And until I registered with an outlook.com address on the site there was no way to get through to anyone.
