• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sounds to me that "Your only about a third of the way, you got 140,000 more miles to go and plenty of time" Keep smiling, "Your ticket HAS NOT EXPIRED !" .....Bill

Congratulations :ohyea: For most, the ryding component alone is impressive enough in its own right  The fact that you've done it after a TBI, all that surgery, & WITHOUT any seizures makes it even more so!

My own 'post TBI' life & progress was nowhere near so good at the 11 year mark, but it did get a little better from there on in. I blame my innately cantankerous nature & a rudely stubborn refusal to buckle under for me still being around giving everyone stick.... :p . TBI's, ain't they just the 'juuust barely better than a hole in the head' gift that keeps on giving! :banghead:

Thanks all, Even managed riding a bicycle last week:popcorn: just around the block to test my safety/comfort with back up transportation. Refreshing all same & no additional injuries

You are an inspiration to those of us that ride.
Keep a positive attitude and continue to improve your safety and comfort.
Hope to see you on the Highways and Byways.
Cheers,

Congratulations!! I am 8 months out from my ischemic stroke (at 44yr old) tomorrow and just starting my Spyder Journey, thank you for the inspiration.

12 years ago, my son was diagnosed with brain cancer, six surgeries if I remember correctly. The second was almost a complete left frontal lobotomy, which left him with some deficits and now he’s severely under employed compared to his pre-cancer status. This experience has completely changed our lives and family dynamics, but the good news is that we still have him around and he still occasionally goes riding with us! So Bfromla, I feel like I can understand your struggles; congrats on 10 years post onset, and not letting it hold you down.
