There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. SpyderExtras F3 Front Grille Guard users - Thoughts? Opinions?

I like the looks! Having just replaced the two "breakaway supports" on my '15 F3-S, after the bumpskid caught on a RR crossing, I would be wary of any structural function of the guard. There is no metal, other than the frame, anywhere close to the front end. Having a substantial weight cantelevered off the frame where the front suspension attaches may affect steering and handling, too. I'd rather replace the plastic pieces than the frame should I hit something hard.

We've had/have 2 F3-S and 2 F3-T/L machines, with only one having the bumpskid. For me, the bumpskid is not going back on any of our F3 machines.

Arrived today and got it installed. I like it :) I'll wait 'til another day and dial up the preload on the front shocks. This weighs 13#, so it won't hurt. I see some amber lights for it in the future too :)

I like it too.

Just inquiring to see if any F3 owner/members here have this grill guard installed? Yeah .. it's kinda pricey, but the heart wants what the heart wants :) Just curious about thoughts/opinions from any owners. Thx

@Troop. I FEEL YA BUDDY.
I was slinkin around online & randomly came across this back in Nov lastyear.
debated. debated. debated some more. Then said the hell with it, bought it.

Came in a nice giant double box, & quadruple wrapped. I’ve never had a safer padded shipment in MY LIFE.
Used some DIY ramps to drive up & lift the front & jacks to stabilize.
First time I ever lifted it, but the install went easy (2 out of 10). Instructions were better than expected,
but were a little misleading for the F3-T.

Is it Practical? ...No.
Will it protect the front in a crash? ...Nope (at least not for anything faster than 10mph)
Is it expensive? YES
Does it lower your front clearance? YES

Do I regret buying? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I LUV IT. Would do it all over again in a heartbeat

Its for show, pure and simple. And it looks amazing.
Can’t wait to throw on some different light options on it than the default ones,
but haven’t decided on anything specific yet.

How many inches (overall length) does this guard add to the F3?? I have very limited space in my car and a half garage. Thank you.

My main worry with that is with the way it can easily breakaway if it catches anything (mainly potholes) on the road at speed is the possibility of directly driving over it at a speed that it would lift the body up enough to cause a loss of steering as it passes underneath not to mention the amount of damage it could cause.

I'm guessing it added approx. 6" overall length to the Spyder. I have since removed/sold it locally, as my F3S will be up for sale come spring. Other than an occasional scraping of the underside (designed to be a bump skid after all), I had no issues with it.

Looks super industrial - cool, but I have my doubts it will serve any real purpose other than looks. Unless you are driving through brush, off-road or your roads are littered with tall debris you can't avoid this has no purpose IMO.

BUT If I had the money to burn, I'd get it. I bought a similar looking guard for my riding mower. lol

Ordered & on the way! Will install soon as it gets a little warmer. No heated garage here. 2019 F3 came with Spyderpops bumpskid installed so have to remove that first. Front grill guard looks easy, no idea about remove/uninstall of bumpskid. Slingmod has them reduced by $60. plus 20% off with coupon code SEPERF.
That helps w/ the cost, also free shipping.

I ordered the version for my 2022 RT STS. Will install it the same time I install my BR Ultra sway bar.
