• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just purchased this GoPro clone. Does anyone use this camera? I've read bad things about the Camking app they want you to use to download video/pics. How do you download content from this camera to your computer? TIA Greg

Images/Video are stored on an SD card. Probably a micro SD card. According to what I see, it does not come with the card. But you should just be able to insert the SD card into your computer and copy your images/video from the card to your computer.

Thanks gkamer, I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the tiny micro sd card every time....not an easy job for someone with fat fingers like me. LOL Thanks again.

Flspyderpilot---I don't know anything about that camera but I just read most of the review on Amazon. Sounds like a worthless piece of rubbish to me.

I have a GoPro Hero 5 Black. On my camera there is a USB charging port where I can connect a USB cable to the camera and plug the other end into a USB port on my computer. If the camera is turned off it just charges that battery. However, if the camera is powered on at the time, my computer sees it as just another drive. I can then access it like a thumb drive and copy the contents of the SD card directly to my computer without having to remove the card first.

I don't know what your camera uses as a means to charge the battery, but I would guess you can do basically the same thing. I'll have to dig into the issue a little further to learn how your camera is et up.

I have this camera as well, and while it takes good video and stills, I wasn't able to get the Camking app to be of use. My wife is able to download files off the micro SD card to the laptop.

OK, I found this in the online owners manual for your camera:

"To offload files to a computer using a card reader (sold separately) and your computer’s
file explorer, connect the card reader to the computer, then insert the microSD card. You
can then transfer files to your computer or delete selected files on your card. Note that
you must use a card reader to offload photos or audio files."

However the image in the owners manual shows the camera has a micro USB port, like my camera. I'd be willing to bet that if you had a micro USB to USB cable, you could download the same way I do. As a side note.... I found it funny there was no instructions in the manual explaining how to recharge the battery, but it does tell you not to put the camera in the microwave oven to dry it should it get wet... Duh.... :)
