• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My wife hates a all day HOT ride. 70 deg she can ride 12 hours. Im trying to twist her arm ... still planning

It can get a little warm that time of summer, but it’s usually at least 10 degrees cooler in the hills than the surrounding plains. You definitely don’t want to do the Badlands loop if heat is an issue. The higher elevations of the hills like O’Neil pass and Deerfield usually never get too hot.

Added a few maps with the starting and ending point being Deadwood Event Center. Included is an itinerary listing times/mileage between waypoints. Maps show total trip time and distance. The map titled "Southern Hills" is really also in the Central Hills, I just kept the route from last years D3WR brochure. It only goes as far south as the end of Needles Highway. Also added the "Small of America".

Here is a link to the 1880 train schedule, in case someone wants to time their arrival accordingly: https://www.1880train.com/train-schedule.html

Donna and I are headed down can’t wait to see old friends and meet new ones. We are heading a few days early just to hang out in the hills

Bring rain gear, we’ve been having our summer evening thunderstorms the last few days. Got a good one going on now. So far saying lower 90’s for highs here so probably 80’s in the Hills.

89 for a high Sunday in Deadwood as of now, followed by lower 70’s. Chance of rain Tuesday, but about as nice for riding as you can get.

You're killing me man. Between broken ankle and Spyder in the shop, I am going nuts just hobbling arround.:roflblack::roflblack::banghead:

I feel your pain, dropped a snowplow on my foot yesterday. Who does that in the middle of July anyway?

Stuck my trigger finger in the snowblower a few years back, still have a pin in it. I sometimes forget how much having a good grip depends on it.
