• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A new service for those interested in renting out their bike when not in use

I also looked up the brands and Can-Am Spyder was not listed.

Would I rent mine out to others...yes...as long as they gave me a $40,000 cash deposit. And, I get to determine how much I have to give back to them, if anything.

Todays world is not a very nice place. I don't need additional things to worry about.

As a business it would be a good idea. But to rent out my own personal Ryker, that I treat like my little baby, to some random person, that's a big nope!
It would take a lot of serious riders to cover the potential costs and issues that one reckless could cause.

Sure, I'd rent my Spyder..for a $35,000 deposit + $1000/8hr. The contract would be mighty long and detailed and the renter would likely run outta daylight before they even got to the end of it to sign it....LOL

I've noticed posts over the years from folks on both side of the equation - looking to rent a Spyder or looking to rent out their Spyder. This website might be the answer.

As I said in my original post ... this may be a helpful resource for people who WANT to consider renting out their Spyder.

It really isn't necessary to respond if you're not interested in doing so.:lecturef_smilie:

You know the routine by now. You never know who is going to post on a thread. You never know if it will be on the subject or not.

The moderators do try to keep threads on track with site rule #7 in mind.

#7: Don't derail a thread/posts topic (diluting the topics effectiveness, i.e. you reply to a users help request asking about an F3 & you reply with check out this flashlight. )

This batch, although not spot on relates "somewhat" to the subject though many comments about not renting popped up. That group was mostly spyder owners who would not rent to others.

We do thank you for the information as no one has posted about this site so far, that I know of.
