So Kim,
This trip is going to end of being a costly one aye? You have a whole lot of new things to add to your spyder mods. It's gonna be a fun winterI know for myself, having my highway boards and my bikersfriend bag really helps on those long highway rides. It gives me many more choices of seating positions.
By the way, it was great to finally meet you in person. I wish we had more time to spend and next time we will have some more time and be able to get some riding in. It is a shame Brian and I went all that way and didn't take any rides.
At first it was gonna be a costly ride LOL! But now I've gotta try and do with what I already have (cept for the highway pegs - I really need those). I will take Scotty's advice and make my own travel backrest when I pack up. I can handle 2 - 300 mile days but the last two were over that and being all highway I was toast by the time we got home. CHAD works, I'll just keep adjusting it on the highway. Just like the looks of the yellow Corbin fairing but when I found out how much that was I almost fell off my chair - this stuff is worse than Harley do dads! Way more expensive.
So off to find some highway pegs and I want to do that right away. I'll take my time w/ the other stuff.
Was awesome meeting you and Brian too! Next time we'll have to do a ryde together! I don't see myself staying in Gatlinburg again - I was pretty happy with the Comfort Inn closer to Lamonster's place. Gatlinburg was nice but crowded trying to get through town- I'd rather be out in the mountains somewhere. Saw some lodges right IN the mountains - wonder how those would be? Looked pretty nice too!
