• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

From someone who attended last year, bring your spare CC, christmas funds, etc...;) I went with one appointment for about a $600 purchase with install, my lovely wife saw several new (never on my radar) items, another dealer had Spyder items I hadn't considered yet, and ... we spent more than what I went down planning on. ALL very, VERY good though, many vendors went out of their way to help us, teach us, and make us feel welcome.
And of course, all the activities the MoGang and Pitbull and others had planned were excellent, EVEN with a monsoon passing through...

I am a bit unsettled about the vendor situation. How are people feeling about getting work done with Lamonster and Spyderpops when they are not sponsoring venders of Spyderfest? They are not on the list of Spyderfest vendors and are working out of Lamonster's Garage. On one hand, I want to patronize Spyderfest vendors since they are helping make this event happen. On the other hand, Lamonster and Spyderpops have made significant contributions in building the (inter)national interest in Spyders. I imagine I'll stop in Bolivar first and see if I can get the service I'm looking for and then head on down to Nixa if I can't. Is this an issue with anyone else?

I wouldn't think this would be an issue; it gives attendees 2 options and since they are the ones spending their hard earned money, they can choose one of the sponsoring vendors or Lamonster garage or maybe even both.

Hi Chris, yes Squared Away will be at Spyderfest at The Rock in Bolivar. It works best for us if you stop by and we put your name on the list, we then will call when you’re next up. I’m looking forward to getting you Squared Away.

I am a bit unsettled about the vendor situation. How are people feeling about getting work done with Lamonster and Spyderpops when they are not sponsoring venders of Spyderfest? The Official Vendors are the only ones that will be issuing rewards for the prize drawings. There are 3 Freedom Trailers being given away so if it were me, if spend my money on official vendors. The MoGang and the folks atva Pitbull Poeersports have spent a lot of time and sweat preparing for Spyderfest, so let’s support that effort.

When the time comes, I am going to "secret" shop the five dealers/service centers in the area. The "welcome" I get coming in un-announced and unknown will eventually determine who my dealer/service center is going to be.

A shame that "internal" issues have to come to the surface the week before the Spyderfest.

I say support the vendors who are "official," enjoy the camaraderie of Spyderfest and all that goes with it. Don't feel that you are going on a guilt trip if you want to explore "other" options. If it were not for all those mentioned, :f_spider: would probably not be around today.

Enjoy the Spyderfest. This is the original big Spyder gathering.

Spyders in the Hills Rally

Sorry to read of all the conflicts of interest between the two primary Spyderfest folks. I do not mean to stir the pot here, but just would like to offer another option. We have a Fall Rally here in Texas that may be of interest. "Spyders in the Hills". Here you will find friendly folks (like those attending Spyderfest) along with the same vendors you all know and trust.

Click on the Vendor drop down menu ....http://www.spydersinthehills.com/

More information - located in Boerne, TX (pronounced "Burn e" think that is close as I'll let the locals to the area correct me).... https://www.visitboerne.org/calendar/spyders-hills-rally

..And don't forget Facebook:

Life is full of options -- this one may just fit in with your schedule.

Lamonster, Spyderpops and Pitbull are three different people with three different business models. As the businesses grow, things change.

If you've ever had friends divorce or break up, you know the heartbreak. In my case, all are still my friends. There are two side to every story.

Without Spyderlovers and Lamonster, Spyderfest would not be what it is today...

Lamonster's Garage is near Lambert's. Get a roll throw'd at ya. It makes for a fun ride!

Regardless of the relationship between the vendors we should all feel free to patronize any vendors we want. Last year when I was at the Lamonster Spyders in the Ozarks event I purchased my accessories at the event but I did make a trip to Pittbull on Saturday with many others from the event which I recognized. For me Springfield is a 9 hour drive - so I want to make sure the trip is enjoyable and I get all the farkles I want while there.

I have my hotel reservation but haven't signed up for the event yet - on the fence as I often am for these things. :banghead:

I'm all for supporting those who have made the Spyder Community what it is today. In my eyes, that's everyone involved in Spyderfest, and anyone involved in this awesome website. We're all here for the same reasons, and I don't think anyone should "choose sides." I personally don't think there are "sides", but clearly there are two sides to the story. In any case, everyone who has been involved with the evolution of the Spyder community is good by me. We'll likely spend most of the week involved with the 'fest, but we also plan on popping in at Lamonster Garage as well. As said earlier, I wouldn't be typing this message if it wasn't for Lamont!!!! It's all good. People find success in many different ways. If everyone chose the same path, it would get awfully boring wouldn't it? See ya in May!!!! Someone be sure to pack an extra dose of sunshine this year would ya...LOL..?

Yazz. Well said and thanks for the link to memories of the earlier days. It took a large number of People and their time to create what is now Spyderfest and most of those faces are all gone but the memories of good times remain.

Why worry about business politics of others...

... if it doesn't directly affect your physical, financial or emotional well being. What did or didn't happen between others is of no concern to me. The only concerns I have going to a rally are: weather, lodging, safe group rides, FARKLES (availability, installation and cost), and customer service!!! I have absolutely no issues hopping from one vendor stall to another if they have what I want, if 'm treated with kindness and respect, and if they take good care of my Spyder while it is in their care. Bottom line... support them all. :2thumbs:

First Time to Spyder Fest

Our first time to Spyder Fest and I understand there are two locations for Vendor village this year. Spring Field and Bolivar. I've looked at the Schedule, but am wandering about the time line of Spyder Riders gathering. I'm seeing registration will begin Wednesday at Springfield. We will be driving into Springfield that morning. What time will the (Registration) fun start? Looking forward to meeting our fellow (Guys and Gals) Spyder Riders.

I’m sure they will start registration by 9:00 am. See you there.

Which Day)s)

Would be the best to attend, work schedule will limit my attendance, maybe squeeze a vacation day in. When it says vendor appointments what does that mean? Thanks guys
Dave
