Ha anyone used the Givi bags withan aftermarket exhaust? Just wondering about the clearance issues.

The bags came with the Industries7 mount and I am running the dual 2bros exhaust. Hope it has enough room for it. Thanks for the reply...Dave

You may have to put a strap at the mount point to drop your mufflers down a little, if I remember right, the 2bros duals have a vertical stack, which makes the top can too high to clear the bags.

+1 I recall discussing this with Magic Man one day when I had my I7 Givi setup. The angle that the Two Bros. duals hang at puts the top muffler up in the space of the Givi bag. Any other single exhaust should fit no problem.

Thanks for the info. I have a friend with a fabrication shop. Maybe he can come up with an adjustable mount to raise the bags a little if needed. Lowering the exhaust like you guys suggested is an option too. I really like the look of the 2bros so changing out for another isnt an option right now.

Be careful that you do have adequate clearance, if you try this. Plastic bags and hot pipes do not get along well! You need more clearance than you might suspect...at least the same as stock.

I'll probably wind up with a Yosh or Micron single pipe on it before its all over, but I nreed to tinker some. I have a spare HMF can off my quad that might be adaptable too.

For what it's worth, based on side by side comparisons of the I7, BRP and Givi racks, the Givi racks appear to set the cases the highest and give the most clearance. With the stock pipe with muffler deflector and Givi rack, there is 2-1/2" of clearance, Without the deflector, there is 3" of clearance. While Givi rack sets bags highest, it also requires moving turn signals to rear fender or getting NMN Givi light set.

Not sure about the I7, but the BRP comes with a new mounting hole to lower the exhaust. Seems some have had problems with the I7 bottoming out and causing other problems.

I7 rack has been linked to rear fender braket failure.

Mine are coming with the I7 brackets, but I have the rear fender and bracket removed with a plate relocator. It seems like this may become a nice project for a while. Trip to Texas isnt till the spring, so I will have some time to be creative ( and fail a fewe times..LOL)

That's just a coincidence. My wife has had major failures on her fender, brackets and mounting tabs (yes all three items) without ever having an I7 rack on her Spyder. This morning we found another mounting tab for the fender bracket is broken, the same one we noticed broken on firefly's Spyder a while back. Our dealer called and has one set of the replacement fender brackets in for her Spyder.

Good notice!
We have the I7 mounts with Givi bags. While there is room between the bag and the stock muffler, we added foil-coated insulation on the bottom of the bag. No more warm groceries!
