• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder Sightings

Three sightings

Yesterday(9/30) saw a blue RT leaving the Topeka Harley dealership around 1130. All hands and eyes too busy to wave. Saw a red RT on Highway 7 close to Highway 20 (KS) around 1530. All waved.
Saw a white/pearl white today at the Hy-Vee in Lee's Summit, MO. Great to see people out taking advantage of the really good weather we are having.

on 02 oct passed a silver rt with some kind of bluish/purple design on the nose, over on rt219 near Thomas/Davis West Virginia.
today, 04 oct at about 11:30 am, spotted a yellow rt getting on 79 north to Pittsburgh at Washington pa.
yesterday 03 oct, spotted a white rt with matching trailer in tow heading south on 79 in West Virginia.

Wow! 5 today.

First one pulled out of Auto Member in Leesburg, VA, today about 1215 PM. I got behind it and followed it up to the RT 9 exit where I got off. Either charcoal or Dark blue - my vision ain't what it used to be.

Three more on Skyline Drive........one was parked on an overlook and the rider waved, charcoal or dark-colored. The other two were moving going NB and were about 5 miles apart. Both White, I believe.

Fifth one was going SB on RT 15 just north of Haymarket. Appeared to be a young lady. White again.

Antonio Banderas in the movie "Security".
1:12:51 and following for about 5 minutes.
It's a black F3.
I'm watching it now.
Crappy movie except for the surprise Spyder.

I've been seeing Spyders everywhere today! Literally, hundreds of them. On the road, in parking lots, at hotels, restaurants, stores, etc.

You would think there was some as some kind of Spyder rally going on here in Maggie Valley!!! :joke: :D

I can't believe it but I have seen 3 Spyders locally in the last week, one extreme to the other,

today I saw a silver RS on the Eastern Road in Portsmouth, last Sunday I saw a bright yellow RS on the Chichester by pass

and last Saturday I saw a 2017 RT parked in Copnor road Portsmouth

Had a wave from the two RS riders

Virginia sightings!

Lots of Spyders on the road this weekend. Saturday (10/14) saw 2 riders on a matte black pulling a trailer heading east on Rt. 220 in Daleville.

Today (10/15), on the Blue Ridge Parkway:
MM 172: white, northbound
Mabry Mill parking lot: one red, one white. Didn't get a good look, but I think they were single riders.
Rt 58, right near parkway entrance: yellow with a single rider
~MM170: green, with a single rider, southbound. I'd never seen a green Spyder before.

And, a silver Spyder on Rt. 460 in Christiansburg, heading toward downtown.

Im pretty sure I met the couple on the Red F3T and the White RT that you saw. They were at the Spyder Adventure in Maggie Valley. Stayed at the same hotel we stayed at. They pulled out around 8:30am and was headed up to VA. I know you said you didn't get a good look, but the White RT would have been missing a left front fender. He had a little mishap at the meet.

I would be willing to bet bet most of the ones you saw were returning home from Maggie Valley.

Saw a black ST parked at Hunter Mt in NY yesterday 10/15. I parked next to it but they were gone when I left. Also saw a blue one (not sure of model) heading south with a group of 2 Wheels on Kings Hwy same day.

That would be the right timing for a trip up the Parkway from Maggie Valley.

I admit that I rode south on the Parkway yesterday, hoping I'd see some returning Maggie Valley riders. Next year, I'll know that Maggie Valley is in NC (something I didn't realize until last week!) and plan a trip to the rally myself. It's only 4-5 hours away.

spotted a yellow rtl heading east on rt50 around the Salem WV exit this morning about 11:30. seen the same spyder on 79 south near Fairmont WV at about 3:30.

Trailering and "Where are the Spyders?"

I have never seen another Spyder on a trailer, and have only spied a few unknown ones (or even known ones) on the road in two years. I have seen quite a few trucks loaded with trailers full of crates, though.

My own Spyder has logged many more miles on the "drop tail" trailer than it has under its own power. It is just a convenience issue (I think), but it did finally gets its ordeal by rain this weekend. I have yet to find a cover which will allow for you to trailer under a soft cover. Might have to go to the enclosed type.

As for "where", you have probably noticed areas where there are too many to count. Southwest Missouri and southeast Wisconsin/nothern Illinois have strong interactions with very supportive dealers, and as you would suspect, many Spyders.J

I have traveled over two thousand miles from North of Atlanta to Brownsville, Texas and back to Biloxi, MS and I still have not seen a Spyder.
