• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Took the Spyder back to the dealer yesterday, leaking oil for the third time, limp home mode came on twice lately, and its now leaking coolant.....sigh!! Perfect weather to ryde too! I hope they fix it soon!
So frustrating!! Hope we didn't buy a lemon!!
Anyone else having trouble with oil leaks, or coolant leaks?? Lots of people seem to be having the limp home mode issue, so maybe thats just the nature of the beast, or maybe there's a sensor to be replaced? I hope we have it back soon. Only another month and a half left to ryde this season.
***sigh***

Bummer...😠

You may need new eyes on that oil leak. The coolant should be easy but neither one is cause for a limp home warning. (Unless you were out of either fluid:yikes:) were you able to get any codes..? That would help us get to the right area. Hope  they can get it right this time....

I' ve only had my '13 spyder for 11 months, what's a limp home mode? We've only got 12,000 miles in the last 11 months...

Sometimes what appears to be an oil leak, is just a case of "sloppy oil changing..."
I hope that's all that it turns out to be!

Its a message that comes up on the message screen along with an alarm, and may or may not have other lights like the check engine light to go with it. At the same time, speed is limited to about 40mph. We found that turning off the key and waiting for a few minutes then starting it again cleared the problem and the dealer found a couple of codes stored. It seems to be a common problem but it's not right. I know that someone on here can probably explain this better than I can. Anyone???
We've been riding for a couple of years, about 7600 miles with no issues then this limp home mode happened twice at SpyderQuest.

Thanks, but thats definately not the problem. The dipstick tube and O ring was replaced which corrected the leak for a few months, but now its leaking again. Must be a different issue.

Thanks. The fluid levels are fine, the dealer didn't give us the codes, but found "fault code for brake light switch and open circuit" After the codes were cleared, it happened again the next day.
