• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Flashing Brake light

I was riding around and made a stop. When I tried to release my parking brake it started flashing and would not re-engage. I checked my fluid levels and my # 3 fuse. Both are OK. Is there anything else I can do before taking it to the shop?

What year and model do you have? When the parking brake is engaged the light flashes that is normal, when you release the brake the light should go off. If you have other brake failure issues the light will stay on solid.

I have a 2011 RTS. The brake light stays flashing at all times. When I turn on key I can hear the parking break engaging and disengaging when I press the button. But the brakes are not applied I am able to move the bike back and forth.

Little checking..

Many of those year models had issues with the cable coming off the spool behind the right hand panel. Some had to install a small "L" plate to keep the cable from coming off. This may be the problem you are having. You will hear the motor run but it will not move the cable so the brake is not applied..

Same thing happened to me last year it was the cable came off the spool it's on the right side just take off right side panel and you can't miss it very easy fix

Thank you, thank you to everyone that posted on this thread. It was my break cable and I can see how this is going to be a problem later on. Any idea's on a permanent fix?
This was my first time working on my bike. 😕 Thanks to some great YouTube videos and y'all it was a piece of cake.

There was a fix where a zip tie was used to keep the cable from falling off.
