Cyclops cg360 video camera

So, one of the 'bonus' things that came with the purchase of our 2017 F3L was a Cyclops video camera. Still sitting in the box, unused. I'm thinking of mounting and taking pics of our rydes. Has anyone else mounted and used one of these things? Is there any preferred place to mount; any advice to offer? Thanks in advance.

I'd check to se if RAM Mounts makes a mounting option for you.

I don't have the Cyclop's camera, but I do have the GoPro and I have the RAM mount for the handlebar on the left side.
From that position, with the extended arm mount, I can get almost any footage I want.

Thanks for the input. The Cyclops package comes with what appears to me to be several choices for mounting - handlebars and/or magnetic stick-on pads, for at least two. First problem is that I don't see, or can't find, any mounting instructions or illustrations. I don't want to mount camera on handlebars where it would have to look through my tinted windshield (or any shield), so an extension arm is likely necessary. I don't like the thought of relying on magnetic pads which would stick on tupperware - too much risk of loss if anything ever let go. So, wondering what others do???

The Cyclops, being a GoPro knock off, can user the same mounts, batteries and other accessories. I've got mine mounted to my helmet. On a positive note, I recently had an issue with my camera (mine is from early 2016) that the office in Denver was able to resolve via e mail and a software/firmware upgrade.

Even I have one of those and it did come with a bunch of mounts and stuff but I have not been able to figure out how to use the camera. I tried to look for instructions on their website/youtube etc, nothing. Haven't played with the mounts yet. So if you figure it out let me know too.

NoPro

If as they say it is compatible with GoPro mounts it can go anywhere. I find on the bike is too viby even with stability turned on. The human body especially the neck and head are great gyros. Wish we had the chicken gyro but mine works.

Mine is what I call a NoPro. Same as a GoPro with different menus, exact same video quality and around $100-125.

That is the camera, and the website, but if you can find anywhere on their site a clearly marked set of instructions or any directions on how to set up or attach or use the various pieces, then you're a better sleuth than I. All I can find is a reference to down loading an app on my cell phone showing me how to turn the thing on and off. Maybe it's just supposed to be a DIY puzzle, and you just scramble the bits and pieces in whatever order you like. Helps to have a good magnifying glass if you ever hope to read the small print manual (lacking any other directions) that appears to show the on/off switch at least.

Here ya go. CALL THEM and let them know just how their support is far from the best. They can take some lessons from GoPro.

I have the CGX2 from Cyclops Gear and their printed instructions are virtually non-existent (as you have found). However, if you drill down through the support menu to "instructional videos" you can select the correct set of videos based on your camera. They are only fair in showing the features of the camera .... but they are better than nothing. I was able to learn enough to navigate the menus myself and learn by experimentation.

To clarify, the CGX2 is like the GoPro 3 series, a generation or two behind the latest GoPro models.
