• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK, so I installed the FOBO Tire Pressure Monitoring System (Trike Set) on our F3S tonight and I'm just curious how many who currently have the FOBO system on your bike, if you are you using the LOCK NUTS on each wheel sensor???

I can see the pro's and con's for both options. :doorag:

*****Poll Added at TOP OF PAGE for Quick Tally. :chat:

Thanks!

When I first installed the FOBO on my Spyder I installed the locks and then promptly had to unlock them as I didn't have the tire pressure set right. I realized right away that using them would be a real pain so I left them off. I had bought several sets for some of my friends here and I knew there was no way they were going to be able to unlock them when they needed to air up the tires so I left them off theirs also. I have had no issues and I don't expect that I ever will. Most people who are interested in them likely know that you can't just take them off and have them work paired to a different phone.

I had the same issue as Ann so did not install the locks either, however I then put on "T" valve stems so I would have to disturb them at all. I still don't use the locks,my FOBOs don't loosen.

agree w above

:agree: Since they pair w my phone, I'm assuming the thief would have to steal the FOBOs AND my phone in which case, I'd have more issues than the FOBO theft!

I use them because of some areas out here where I park if even for 10 minutes.
Trust if something can be taken it will.
I keep the tool in my glove box. No problem using it when I need it.

The only "pain" is you have to remove them fully to put in air as most tire air filler gizmo's won't go all the way on the stem.

Final comment is I know someone that lost one believe it or not. It came lose I guess and eventually came off. That is what he guesses but could have been stolen too. He is not 100% sure.

In that case, what did FOBO do for that owner? Did they send him a replacement?
