• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help with cross country bags

Looking for anyone that has installed the cross country detachable bags, that can give me instructions. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

HARD or SOFT

it all depends on if you plan on getting HARD or SOFT bags....
I have the soft bags, Sedici, which is all i'll ever need... i do at least 1 X-country ride each year, and they've worked out just fine...
SOFT bags don't require the mounting of extra hardware, that stays attached to your SPYD3R... HARD bags have external supports that stay on when the bags are off... so give this consideration prior to buying...

Sorry about that I have the brp bags I believe they are OEM.

ok I will send tomorrow because I am at work right now and the instructions are at home someplace.

I don't have the printed instructions with me: Tazz said she would have them. In general, replace the buttons on the grab handles, then mount the left and right support/locking brackets. The brackets fit in the left and right access covers located in the under cover near the front of the rider's seat. All of those fit with minimal adjustments possible. Except for the forward stop on the brackets: their positions affect the"lock" of the bags onto the Spyder.

I set mine so that the latch mechanism bottoms out against the stop. Too tight and you won't be able to turn the button inside to go past the center detent to lock; too loose and the mechanism seems to unlock if the stop is set ti lose l.
