There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Spyderfest, For those that were there for the Entire Fest, (Long drawn out Question)

Spyderfest, For those that were there for the Entire Fest, including Friday Saturday- and leaving Sunday, How was it?

Please read the entire post before commenting
:)

If you have any photos and you don't like to post, heck share them here, please.

Many have shared they left early because of the weather forecast and their concern for their safety during the upcoming storms.
Understandable

Please share your experiences and opinions,

( for myself), missed this one out of choice. Well, actually my special friends spyder was not running properly and this time it was Too far this time for me alone, didn't even consider the weather conditions as back in 2011, 2012 or even 2013 when I rode alone.

Each year would just take it on as an adventure, Even if it was also dangerous and undesirable. (What can I say I was immature and didn't know better) After the Fest in 2013. many of us made a big raucous on here (SpyderLovers) to no avail. about possibly holding the event at a more desirable date in the future.

We were told this time frame for the event was set in Stone. However back then Spyderfest was also competing with the only other large event , THE OWNERS EVENT however this is no longer the case as we know it. The OE begining last year was broken up and instead was assisting in sponsoring several other events across the country at various times.

Never considered it could be worse until seeing the photo from Lamonster as to the flooding on a bridge they had passed before:yikes:

And so my hopes is that Len and Venessa at PitBull Powersports would consider holding "SPYDERFEST 2018" and future events in da "Prime Time"

(If you really are the Premier event in the world, Which I believe you are) would you not want to hold the event during the Peak Season. JUNE JULY or August

Yes accomidations are more costly, so what! , this happens once a year.........ONCE A YEAR!!, how many years do you have here on this earth?

told myself I wasn't gonna do that, but heck, i am so sorry.( crying)

Other factors to consider are people purchasing new spyder, whats best time for dealership. well if my mid year spyder came just the way I wanted with all the extras ready to go, then it is a no brainer for me, just Lamont and Len. ;) Heck after typing this, I might even get a better price on the Spyder, I mean there aren't that many different additions year to year.

Really want to attend the upcoming FEST, especially when I will order a new spyder from "Pitbull Powersportsand accessories galore from Lamonster Garage"

Spyderlover Hotglue, myself, and not sure one of the other attendee :D hopefully he will chime in as it is a very good photo!

SpyderLover "Yazz" getting ready to run the time trials back in 2013........

So am I right, we still don't know who is fastest?

IMG_2512.jpg

my understanding if it wasn't close, there was a good reason for that.

IMG_2491.jpg

There has been very little mention of all the volunteers who have contributed to the event. I encourage others here to post photos, If you do not know how, email them to me and I will see that you get credit for sharing:thumbup:

Want to tell you newcomers that in the past, these individuals who weree brought together by a common goal- have fun, spread the spyder word, knowing or not that there was a lot of unselfish work that went into pulling this off. Seriously. ..... Even if there were no fireworks this year , a Hell of a lot of work went into the preparation for such a spectacle.

IMG_2408.jpg

If my assumption was right, i believe all three in the photo below were no shows........how can we change that around for 2018?

IMG_2468.jpg

Does anyone know if this couple were there?

IMG_2454.jpg
These two lovebirds Hosted a Hotel the year before I believe??

And one more thing former SpyderLover FaranH, GOS Founder who use to be an ambassador for can- am Spyder, did she show up? and if not does anybody have the scoop on whats been going on with her?

IMG_2527.jpg

I did read somewhere that liquids were provided for the adventurous.....

began rambling on a while back, but please share how you feel even if you were not here for the entire fest, as was previously suggested.

You want some pics, TB? I got a few that are relevant:P1040856.jpg
These are some of the folk that make SpyderFest possible. They've been there every year that I've attended.
All right, that's only three years and 2014 and 2015 were held in great weather. Sadly due to climate change
there can now be no guarantees of fine weather even in the summer.....

Short answer to a long question...what was the question...? Spyderfest was great, the weather sucked with the exception of 2 days. We rode in t-shirts on Tuesday, and wore our gear on Thursday. The rainy days were spent running around in our truck doing pitstops for the passport sheet. It's WEATHER...no one can control it. We prepared for 80* weather, and 50* weather. We trailered down last year too and realized it was a good idea then. Sure, it's not the same and takes some of the adventure out of it, but we went for the event, not just the riding. We left Sunday bright and early and were already talking about 2018. Not sure we'll stay at the same motel, but we have a year to decide. MoGang and Pitbull, and all the others who put the event together did all they could. It's just one of those things where, "If ya don't have fun, it's your own fault".

TicketBait, My wife and I were there for the whole thing, but our story is so long, I'm still writing and trying to remember all the surprises. I'll get it posted with less exceptional pics than your query, but it just might be longer verbiage. I'll have to have the missus edit it down for brevity. But as far as we are concerened, BEST SPYDERFEST EVER! and they can ONLY GET BETTER! (it was our first!);)

TicketBait, missed you this year! A good time to buy a Spyder from Len and have Lamont put on the extras is before Spyderfest. They both get very busy during the fest week.

Will answer some of your picture questions as I know...

- First picture is TicketBait, HotGlue and Dax.

- Thanks for the picture!

- I think you were fastest. :doorag:
- MoGang once again made sure everything ran smoothly. :firstplace:

- Those two lovebirds were once again hosts at the Lamplighter. They did a great job!

- Faran hasn't been to Syderfest for a while as far as I know.

- Liquids are always there for the adventurous!

Different people go to Spyderfest with different expectations, so you'll get different answers to your question about their experience.

As for me, I had a blast! Got to meet up with all my old friends and made some new ones. Spyderfest is all about the people.

Sorry, I didn't take any pictures...

Stayed for the whole thing plus! Arrived a day early and left a day late. As for weather if you want an almost guaranteed dry event you should hold it in the first week of June in Las Vegas.

It rains in the Midwest that's a fact but it won't stop me from going back.

We were there from Sunday to Sunday. Weather happens any time of the summer, only with more vigor as the summer heat builds. Personally, I don't do high heat with humidity: apparently you've not been to Missouri in July and Aug. It is true that those of us who live in the snow belt and north have more issues with cold, wet, and snow in late April. I believe the timing is acceptable.

FARAN H.

I was curious about Faran also and checked Her Spyderlovers Bio page .... She wasn't into posting and Her last post was Feb. of 2015 ...... The last time She visited this site was Oct of 2015 !!!! :yikes: that was more than 1 & 1/2 years ago..... She may no longer own a Spyder.......... If this is the case too bad She was an asset to this community ..... Mike :thumbup:
