I purchased a RPM One 5 year extended warranty for my 2013 RT Limited. Had a problem with noise and rattle from the engine area.
The local dealer said not problem the had blanket approval for repairs up to $750.00. Up on tear down and examination it was determined the gear on the engine out put shaft was worn, thus causing adverse clutch wear. Repairs were made and a claim was made with RPM One and was promptly rejected, RPM One stated I had not had the Spyder service as required. All service records were submitted and showed that all service was completed on or ahead of the recommended schedule. Again refused to pay the claim stating that "clutch plates" were a normal wear item and did not qualify for repair. After a long discussion that the Gear caused the excess wear and if that was an issue with clutch plates I would pay for the replacement of the Clutch plates but RPM One should cover the worn gear on the output shaft, Still rejected the claim.
On further investigation I found the RPM One is not licensed or registered to do business in Washington State.
My point is to caution Spyder Ryders to be careful purchasing a extended warranty from RPM One. RPM One was also banned from doing business in Washington State. All if this makes it difficult to try and recover my loss.
RPM One is a scam company in my opinion.
