• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Tire wear

I had a new Arachnid tire put on the rear of my 2015 RT Limited. It looked OK for the first few hundred miles. In September I took a ride to Oklahoma and Texas from the San Diego CA area, about 3400 miles. On the way home I could see the tire wearing
much faster on the left outside much faster than the original. It now has under 4,000 miles and the tread is beginning to show. The middle and right side has plenty of tread. It did not wear like this on the original tire that came with the bike. Any ideas on why?

How is you wheel alignment, rear wheel not front. If you get down at eye level can you see it cocked to one side or the other?

This site is a wealth of information, I don't know if you asked about this tire before you bought it ..... But the makers of Arachnid used the Kenda as their model and well ..... they started with garbage so what can you expect..... If your dealer is willing to put a non-Kenda tire on your Spyder than go on E-bay and get a General Altimax RT 43 in 215/60-15 size ( yes it fits ) ( use free shipping at the start of search ) it will cost you about $ 85 or so delivered and should last at least 25,000 miles ..... I PROMISE YOU THIS .......and it is the highest rated tire currently available for the RT ........ Mike

General Altimax RT 43 Tread

Here is a picture of the General Altimax RT 43 Tread: New Rear Tire General Altimax RT 43 Tire.jpg Size: 215/60 R15. I have a 2014RTS-SE6. The original rear tire ( Kenda ) was changed @ 5,824miles. This will be my 2nd riding season with the General Altimax R T 43. I am happy with the tire. Deanna

Little checking..

Check both the alignment and tire pressure. Worn bearings can cause problems but being so new I would not see that as an issue. I currently have an arachnid and have run two Kendas before with good results. Will depend on many things but i'm starting to suspect it is the road construction in the different areas....:dontknow:

General Altimax RT43

Just bought through Amazon for $78 free shipping. Will have the dealer install in the spring.

As stated before, rear wheel alignment only controls belt position. You cannot make the back tire on a Spyder do anything but go straight unless something is damaged. I have the same issue with mine and VeeRubber seems to have little or no interest in the problem. Others have said that they actually come from the factory with a difference in tread depth from right to left. It could be.

I put a KUMHO on rear of my 2014 RTLimited & have about 5k on it so far. Handles great & hoping to get at least twice the mileage i got with the original Kenda that was on it.

Have a 3-tire alignment done...
If you can't get the rear tire lined-up with the fronts: you may have the engine/transmission assembly not sitting in the frame properly. nojoke
