There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Tricled DRL install question

I have just received the above from Tricled (the LED strip that goes on the front of the suspension member). I am a little unclear on the install instructions and would appreciate any comments from anyone who has done the install. The instructions say to ensure you install the strip with the wires "toward the inside". You then plug into a harness. The only harness I can see is one on the inside of the fender that leads up to the fender lighting. Is it possible that the "inside" referred to is the "inside" of the fender rather than the "inside" where the motor resides?

I have sent an email to Cindy, but have not as yet received a reply, and I would like to get going on this asap.

Regards,
Confused

I did this install just a few days ago. If you have any ramps, pull up on the ramps. The connector you are looking for is under the top a-arm. Run your LED strips with the connectors hiding behind the radiators (inside). Hope that makes sense to you.

Thanks Hawkii, I'll roll it up on the ramps and have a look. It looks like I am missing the 2 black extension cables with the brown and blue wires that the LED strip plugs in to, so I couldn't reach that harness anyway. Cindy has contacted me and is looking at it. Just out of interest, do you know if you have a factory connector under the top a-arm next to the wheel?

No luck

No luck, Hawkii. I have followed the cable from the factory connector at the wheel, right up under the dash where it is taped in to a major wiring loom. Looks like the factory connector at the wheel is the only one. I wonder if the F3-L has a different wiring setup, which is why I don't have the black extension cable as part of the kit......

petoz, if you got the double, light strip on top and bottom a-arm, you will need that extra cable. I am sure Cindy at Tricled can fix you up. That connector under the a-arm is the one you use. If you got the blinker unit, You will need to pull the upper skins off to get to the factory blinker connector. Good luck.

Thanks Hawkii. I only got a single and am not going to use the blinker unit.

I have used the factory connector inside the front wheel, connected the Tricled connector to it and have wired the LCD strip into that. You can tuck it all up under the top arm with a couple of cable ties......works a treat. Thanks for all your help...

ramps were OK but found that if I used the floor jack, you can move the tires to the left or right and give yourself more room to work.
