• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Texas Hill Country 2016 4th Annual Spyders In The Hills

Ok, wife just sent me a screen shot about not being a sactioned ride, or whatever that means? Thought it was just a few groups broken up being led by someone who knows the route? So are we suppose to sign for a route each day, if so how are we to get put on the list and or added to a list for a ride?

If the ride is going too big of a headache I have no problem loading the route in my gps, if someone could post up the route or has a file they could email me and I could uplaod it to the gps. Trying to get a warm fuzzy about this trip.

Don't over plan Dreamer, it takes all the fun out of it!
:D

Might hookup the Toy Hauler and head that way just to have a "Beer" with Joe from Squared Away.

Dont see how Im overplaying it, but ok. Not into, not having a plan in place prior to showing up. Been there done that, everyone standing around looking for someone to make a decision. Thats the reason I asked if someone had they routes they could post up. Have done the 3 sisters, just never the Fredrickburg route.

Thursday October 13th
Vendors will be setting up early at Coyote PowerSports. They should be available by 9AM.
10:00 am to 6:00 pm Registration welcome packets, door prize tickets and t-shirts can be picked up inside at Coyote PowerSports.
Outside the front door of Coyote will be the CMA vendor tent. They will have ride maps available as well as sign up sheets for the rides.

What tells me is when we get there on Thursday, we need to check in and sign up for the rides then.

What I posted is just the part of the schedule that pertains to the rides. It looks like the way its set up everyone will get to ride both rides. :ohyea:

I posted the whole schedule on the Meetup page. It was just a C&P from the Facebook posting. :bbq:

When I signed up the guy that is doing it was saying they were looking for ride leaders and that they could get them the GPS download. Maybe he can post here giving the link to the ride .GPX or .GBD files so we can have it. The more people that have the route on their GPS the better just in case the group get separated for any reason.

Ray Smith Has his Email on the OP of this thread. Ill send him an Email and ask for the files. If I get them Ill post them on the meetup page.

I got a reply from Ray. He sent me the Exel spreadsheet he created that is basically the written directions of the rides. He said they will have maps there. I need someone who is capable of making a basecamp map to contact me and I can forward the spreadsheets to you to create a GPX file. I can do it but it will take some time to do. Not sure if I can with the little experience I have with the basecamp software.

Lol, that because y'all have to travel quite a bit farther. If your goig down I10 uou will run right by our old house we left a year ago outside of Phoenix.

But atleast yall get to start earlier.

How long is it going to take yall?

Leave Monday, arrive Tuesday! Can't wait. That is the 10th we leave.

We leave on Monday and are spending the night with a rider in Phoenix. Tuesday we will take the scenic route and likely spend the night in Roswell, NM then on to Boerne on Wednesday. 1,300 miles total for us.

Squared Away will be set up for business on Thursday morning.

[h=3]Texas Hill Country 4th Annual Spyders in the Hills 2016[/h]Rally Update
The weather is looking good for our rally! However, rain is a possibility. Come prepared!
Here is the most current information about our schedule:
Thursday October 13th 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Come to Coyote Powersports to pick up your registration packets and information about the Enchanted Rock Ride and the Three Sisters Ride. We have maps and ride guides available for both of these. Both of these rides will have someone “showing you the way” on both Friday and Saturday, or get out your map and ride guide and head for the Hills on your own. (This is not a sanctioned rally, nor do we have Ride Captains.) Whether you ride individually or as part of a group, you will need to sign a waiver of liability.
Three vendors will be at Coyote Powersports all 3 days of the rally: Sue Hopper, artist doing custom painting; SpyderLyter Fred, lighting up your ryde; and Squared Away doing laser alignments. Coyote Powersports also has many CanAm and aftermarket accessories available! CMA has a booth also.
You will have several discount coupons for shopping in Historic Downtown Boerne. There will be an informal “meet and greet” Thursday afternoon and evening on Main St., at the Cibolo Creek Brewing Company (and Restaurant) on one end, and Soda Pops on the other end, with unique shopping in between. Parking is available in the Flower Shop lot across from Cibolo Creek Brewing Co, all along Main St, and at Soda Pops. Wheelers, a large Western Store on the access road across I-10 from Coyote Powersports, has 15% off coupons for us. They have over 2000 pairs of boots plus so much more! (We love to ride in cowboy boots!) The guy at the gun counter said to mention you are with the rally, and he would make you a good deal on a gun if you are interested. A group will lead the way to Main St leaving Coyote Powersports at 6:00 pm Thursday, or go on your own anytime Thursday afternoon and have some fun!
Two ride groups for each ride will be leaving together, both Friday and Saturday, from Coyote Powersports. On both days, both ride groups for THE TWISTED SISTERS will leave at 9:00 AM, and both ride groups for THE ENCHANTED ROCK RIDE will leave at 10:30 AM. (Be there early!) Boerne Police Department officers will help us through local traffic stops. As above, whether you want to follow a local ride leader or ride individually, you will need to sign a liability waiver.
Friday about 6:30 PM Fiesta at Coyote Powersports. Good times, good food and door prizes!
Saturday after the rides, 4:00 PM – Girls On Spyders (GOS) gathering inside at Fairfield
Saturday about 6:30 PM BBQ dinner at Mama's (OK to arrive early, beer, etc. is available for purchase)
Saturday about 8:00 PM Street party, hot rods, band at Soda Pops on Main St Boerne.
We were expecting about 100 participants (as we have had in the past). However, this year there will be more than 150 coming to Coyote during this rally. Coyote staff and volunteers, as well as our food servers, are working hard to accommodate us. Please be patient. No hurry, no worries! We aim to have some fun!
