FUEL LINE RUBBING ON BLOCK!!

Found my fuel line has been rubbing on the side of the Engine head.
NOT good I have it pulled back now but I think the proper fix is to get fuel line about 2" longer as to have clearance from the head!!

Hope mine is the only one but seeing how the:spyder: all come off the same line this may not be the case, Better safe than sorry, So just check it out.
The :spyder: fires has just got me a little NERVUS.
Also have a call in to the dealer to let him know of the issue.

Not much, A slight indentation from rubbing, But my concern is I have less miles than sum so if it is rubbing on other:spyder: it could be worse!

I have 8700 miles on mine!!

How about covering it with some of that plastic corrigated stuff like most of the wires in the Spyder are? That is what BRP has you do when you install the R35 bags--- for the brake lines under the seat because they can rub against the new bracket that gets installed.

I put a piece of heater hose over the area that was rubbing, I thought the plastic might just melt &cause more of a problem since it is against the block! Just my thinking, Always open for every ones ideas.

This stuff does not do well in heated environments. I tried some to protect wiring on my Cruise Control install and it went away on the 1st ride.

They may make it in a high heat version but be careful in the engine compartment anywhere near hot stuff.

Thats why i chose the heater hose I was worried about the high heat factor!!

Yes, I'd go with the heater hose as well. Should do the trick.
