• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Afib

Hang in there and recover quickly.
Glad recognized the issue and got help.
You can live with AFib. I have for 10 years.
Best wishes, David C.

Know what you mean....

Just went through a similar episode. Glad you took heed as your body does have ways of letting you know. You can manage that and hope you will be fine.

 Whew...
Since it could have been so much worse: you have some celebrating to do! :ohyea:
But listen to what the Doctors are telling you! nojoke

Had my heart attack in Sept 2014. Chest was tight, sweating, but my biggest symptom was my throat tightened up like someone was choking me. I had zero pain.

There are no "typical" heart attack symptoms. If you don't feel well get checked out. The symptoms for women are totally different from men. Don't guess, I almost waited too long in 2014 because I thought I had an allergic reaction or food poisoning.

Glad to hear you got help in time. Heart issues are nothing to fool with. Same stuff currently going on with me. Five stents a couple months ago and a re-check appointment in a month or so. Being very careful at the moment.

AF can be scary the first time it happens. My pulse rate went to 180 & I felt terrible. Hospital sorted me out. Over the next 9 years it kept occurring more frequently but the Flecainide I took when it happened always brought it back to normal at 55bpm.
I now take Flecainide twice daily & so far no more occurrences in 9 months.

Best of luck.

btw: I have Paroxysmal AF. The wife has another kind of AF & meds don't help her type. We both take blood thinners though.

I have PAT. Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia. Have had it for years. Episodes have become less frequent. In fact, one woke me up last night. First one in a few months.
