Spyder party in Accord NY this weekend?

fine tuning the plan

I'm as local as local can be. If you would like, I will take you riding, say starting at 10am at the tire shop, (Netzley Tire) route it past Denman's, have lunch in Phonecia and then we will go from there for supper back at the Hillside. Never ate there, but I understand it is excellent, been wanting to try it.

I just met Derrick yesterday. He seems like a super-nice guy, and he's installing a new General Altimax as I type. Not knowing him any better than I do, though,
I'm wondering if rather than convene a Spyder happening in his driveway, if it might not be more accessible to meet on Highway 209 at the Saunderskill Farms Bakery. (5100 Rt. 209, Accord, NY 12404) Stopped by there yesterday for good coffee and yummies from the bakery.

Folk riding in from Long Island and other remote locations could come around that 10:00 am time you suggest, grab a coffee, use the restrooms, sit at the outside tables and chat. When the group feels it has "assembled" all it's going to assemble, mount up and head for a real lunch in Phonecia and bother Denman at his home and finally end up at Hillside for a fine meal.

I like it it. Who's in?

What time do you all think you will get to the evening destination. I am thinking I could meet you guys out there after a day of grabbing some places out that way I need for my tours. Please keep posting as the plans develop

I'm in

Saturday plans coming together

Pete,

If you guys are looking for a really good meal while there, check out the Friends & Family II Hillside Restaurant in Accord. It's "fine dining" in a rustic setting. I had a great meal there. But there are also all sorts of less expensive local eating places all along Route 209 (on that stretch of the road between Kerhonkson and Interstate 81) with very good food.

Rob:

Sounds like a great place to wind things up.

The plan as it stands is to meet at the Saunderskill Farms market at 10 am tomorrow. Ride to Phonecia for a light lunch, having stopped by Bob Denman's on the way up; then return via whatever roads we decide upon, meeting foe fine dining at the Hillside at 5pm.

Please respond to this thread or text me your intentions at 404-414-6474 so we can reserve a sufficiently large table.

The Missus and I are in for dinner, but we'll need to know when to get to the Restaurant.
I guess that we can kick that around tomorrow morning!
(Orrr... post it in here: I'll see it! :D)

I did talk to Pete this morning at the shop to firm up the plans, meeting at Saunderskill Farms at 10am be past Denmans at 11am and on to Phonecia for lunch at noon. After that I have a few route back to Hillside and Dinner at 5pm unless Pete could not get reservations for then and he can give us this detail as he was making the reservation.

5:00pm?? We'll be there!! :yes::yes::yes:
I just heard an independent confirmation, that they have excellent food! :2thumbs:

Dad and I might be able to meet you guys in Phonecia at 1200hrs, and probably get the wife to ride along with me. I would like to do dinner gotta see how much riding everyone is up for.

Just sayin'............

Pete, the whole tire clan is coming for dinner. That makes 6 from here and 5 for the ride, so you will have to raise the reservation #. Now to go off and see about some more, Ron
