• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Spyder party in Accord NY this weekend?

Ryders:

A couple of weeks ago I asked around for a tire-changing shop near the Catskills in NY. Most recommended Derrick Netzley in Accord, NY, so, accordingly (terrible pun intended), I've got the man lined up to freshen up my rear tire later this week.

The lady and I have reserved a campsite at the So High Campground near that town from Wed thru Sunday (the 26th). A few of you mentioned earlier that if I were to post these dates, a party might break out. We'll be up for a ride locally on either Saturday or Sunday, and/or are open to suggestions otherwise such as meeting somewhere for coffee or a meal.

Anyone available to meet up? Post below any original thoughts.

Pete

I sense an infestation in the Catskills :ohyea:If I am not working Saturday I might just wind up there:yes::yes::2thumbs:

Just sayin'.............

my daughter is graduating this weekend so the spyder will be collecting dust, the weather looks great for a good ride

The Missus has a "Thing" going on, until about 2:00pm...
I'm working on the negotiations right now...
I could be wrong, but if memory serves, YOU are the one who suggested the party. ;) Just tell her you're busy this weekend.

Keep this post alive....where might you folks meet for lunch or dinner. I need some NY INK and Other spots and I could see riding out that way.

Pete,

If you guys are looking for a really good meal while there, check out the Friends & Family II Hillside Restaurant in Accord. It's "fine dining" in a rustic setting. I had a great meal there. But there are also all sorts of less expensive local eating places all along Route 209 (on that stretch of the road between Kerhonkson and Interstate 81) with very good food.

Also, there are several scenic roads to ride through the Catskills in the area just NW of the campground. One of my favorite is Watson Hollow Road / Peekamoose Road that runs between West Shokan (near the western edge of the large Ashoken Reservoir), westward over towards the top end of Rondout Reservoir (not far from where Bob Denman lives). Also heading south (back into the mountains) from the town of Big Indian, there are some interesting roads you can ride on, taking you down toward Claryville (be sure to have lunch at the Blue Hill Lodge Cafe in Claryville) and then continue further south along the Rondout Reservoir back to Route 29.

If you enjoy walking trails, check out Lake Minnewaska in Minnewaska State Park - just down Route 44 from Kerhonkson. Or if you're really into hiking, there are several trails within the Catskill Forest Preserve area. Enjoy the area.

I will know by tomorrow afternoon if I am off on Saturday. If I can get free, I would love to meet up for a ride no matter where it goes.

Just sayin'...........

So High is at:
425 Woodland Rd
Accord, NY 12404
(For the folks flying by GPS...)
Do you know what campsite will be yours?
Do we know where to meet up yet?
If the Missus and I can show up;: it'll probably be for a meal.
Let us know where Saturday's Supper is going to be!

Jàckie and I are close to the campground (So Hi) entrance. Red Toyota, 7x12 v-nose trailer, copper RT. Site G.

However, unless this is a campfire-and-smores event, I'm thinking maybe we meet around noon Saturday at a restaurant suggested by one of you good local folk, ride some of these cool local roads, and then have supper at a pre-agreed restaurant (so late-comers can still hook into the camaraderie).

So, suggestion for

1. Lunch
2. Supper?

I'm as local as local can be. If you would like, I will take you riding, say starting at 10am at the tire shop, (Netzley Tire) route it past Denman's, have lunch in Phonecia and then we will go from there for supper back at the Hillside. Never ate there, but I understand it is excellent, been wanting to try it.

Hi Ron,
Is this a ride on Saturday; or on Sunday?
I'll be stuck here Saturday morning, so stop by!
(A Spyder project will need my complete attention...)
We might be able to meet you guys at the Hillside for supper. Just give me a time to be there!
