There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Okay got a lock for the ball. So it can't be pulled. But do you secure it an other way? Worry about it walking away.

I have the padlock....also cable and hook to a post.....but trust me if the bad dudes want they will get...cheap pair of bolt cutters!!! Just saying....but I figure at least I will make them do a little work to "steal"....:yikes:

:agree: Nothing can be made "Theft-Proof".
You just have to make it tougher to steal, than the other ones in the lot! nojoke

I think if you lock it up with what you have, AND take pics of it (for insurance purposes just in case) you'll be ok. For the most part, I think the "Spyder" population has a mutual respect for others, as most are pretty mature and responsible. I don't see a non Spyder owner stealing a Spyder trailer.....that would just be wrong

Securing trailer

I use a hitch lock when connected to the bike, and when not connected such as in a motel lot while we are out on rides we use the hitch lock so the tounge can't be connected to a hitch and in addition I use a wheel boot, between the 2 most people will look elsewhere.

were did you find this? Looks like what I had in mind.

I just take "Ralph" along and leave the lid open. No locks or cables necessary. He always stays in the

trailer day and night. Ralph is a very mean pitbull that weighs 110#. I rescued him from a Junkyard. Had

to use a Water Pik to get the remains of the last intruder out from between his teeth. I love that dog!
:D

lmao. only you !!--irv

with 2 wheel boots, you could put 1 on the back of the spyder too.
take them off before starting out.

All of the above...

The cable lock can be used to tie both wheels together when a post is not handy...

Wheel Lock

I got mine from ebay for $20 They can also be purchased through amazon, the trailer sales had some but wanted quite a bit more for them. They are pretty well built and don't weigh too much for this model and is adjustable depending on wheel width. I just put mine in the trailer and always have it along.

Got mine Sunday. Can't wait to use it. Looks good. Thanks for the input.

this may work for larger trailers & ATV's just fine but determined thief (as stupid as they may be):lecturef_smilie: will just leave the tire rim & cable & lift the light weight freedom trailer up & out more likely in bed of truck because it is small enough. Same with cable unless you have it going thru the frame someway. If you can get it indoors with you may be the best (not practical) solution cuz from expierance if a crook cant take it, they will damage it (or you). They just that way:dontknow::barf:
