There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was driving my wife's car this weekend and she has lights in her side mirrors that glow red when someone is in the blindspot and I thought that would be great for the spyder. im still having a tough time getting used to the small mirrors on the Spyder especially after driving in my Navigator and its phonebook sized mirrors. I already have blindspot mirrors attached but thought this would be an added level of safety. does anyone know of anything like this for motorcycles? Thanks

Not yet...

We have seen some 180° mirrors being tried. It is a nice feature and they may be looking into it seeings as they have already mastered the in mirror turn signals...guess we will see...:popcorn:

I put Lamonts mirrors and turn signals on my F3S at Spyderfest. They are fantastic and completely removed the blind spot. Much safer driving. Check them out.

Mmmmmm, four sided radar with the butt kicker for lane transgressions? There are enough sensors on the Spyder without adding an additional layer of remote detection and alert. Yes, the four wheelers have it but, they also have the room to add the sensors, wiring and brain box. I'm not sure how big it would be but there's not much real estate under the Tupperware. Yes, it would be nice but I'll pass until it's an industry standard

What's wrong with turning your head a little bit, and looking? :dontknow:
How much electronic intrusion do you want in your life? :D

it sounds gimmiky until you try it. Plus most of my driving is stop and go traffic so anything that would minimize taking your eyes off of whats in front of you would help.

Check out on Google what your wife's car uses for the sensor and brain. I'm thinking that there isn't much to it. You could go to a junkyard and get the parts. It's just that sensor in the bumper and a brain. Hopefully, its a separate "brain". I'm betting Finless could whip it out in a few hours.

In stop and go city traffic IMO it wouldn't be that big of a help as there would always be people beside you, but on side street/hiway a big help.

Bob another video??

Thanks for posting this OP, I got curious and went Goggling: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R22TJN8?psc=1 There are a number of options, even wireless units.

Looks like a piece of cake. I think on an RT in the side of the saddlebags, two for the sides and two for backing up. I can't turn my head 180 any more.
