• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

...To Post what they bought for their bike at SpyderFest? :D
I'll start...
I needed the adjustable hardware for BRP's rider seatback...CHECK!
A Misty Mountain Seatcover (named "Rudlolph"), would be nice... CHECK!
The ride down here proved that some forward position pegs were needed... CHECK!
Those LED headlight and foglight bulbs sure were nice and bright... CHECK!
A couple of Tee-Shirts always improve my wardrobe...CHECK!

Tomorrow morning; we all go PBO at Dawn's early light... I'm pretty sure that I'll be so poor, that I won't even be able to pay atterntion! :roflblack:

Yeah, why not....

Not much yet, but:
SpyderPops will be installing his B/T/R rear LEDs this morning.
A decal for someplace on the bike
Another can of Bugslide
Several T-shirts of course
My wife really likes Lamont's IPS key holder, so that will likely be in a bag before the end of the day too.
Baker's belt tensioner is still a "want" as well.

This morning I have to get the bike in right away for Spyderpops, so that means walking around for a while during the install...and we all know what walking around leads to.....:yikes:Cha-Ching

I didn't take too big of a hit.

Tricled rear mirror turn signals. (Had to get something flashy)
SquaredAway alignment (had to get something practical)
raingear for the wife (something useful)
t-shirt to go with my sweatshirt and trucker hat (something decorative)

and finally, just attending Spyderfest (something memorable)

At Vendor Village I continued farkling my new F3T with:
  • fog lights
  • mirror turn signal lights
  • run & brake LED
  • cup holder
  • etching on the windshield
  • frunk organizer
  • event t-shirt - ok, this farkles me instead of my Spyder

I've ordered or have at home to put on my Spyder:
  • engine lights
  • grill lights

At Pitbull I bought a travel cover and cat-bypass (helps me go around those kitties!)

Obviously I couldn't buy anything....still being in the UK and nursing my poor stomach BUT
that small thing hasn't stopped me getting a mail order list together as a substitute for being there!
All of the stuff will come from Lamonster's Garage except one item from JT Thornton:

Bungee Buttons
Daylight Running Lights
Blinker side/front kit
Intake Lighting kit
Engine light kit
Swaybar Heim Links
Dual Fill adapter with gauge

I'll wait for a coupla days after SF has finished to give Lamont and Jacob a breather after, what quite clearly has
been a very busy time for them.

Gotta say...

Sounds like a wedding....:roflblack::roflblack:

Newbie at Spyderfest learns....

Vendor Village is an incredible place but there are plenty of mistakes that can be made as a newbie:

Bring a good set of walking shoes and find a chair ASAP
Don't talk to the people doing the work, find the people actually setting up the work list for the workers (duh).
Each vendor has their own way of lining up their work list, even if you don't understand it.
All the vendors are doing their very best to help you out - be patient.
Plan on using more vacation than 4 days, especially if 2 are for traveling.
Finally - Vendor Village is a huge vacuuming vortex that has a draining effect on your wallet! Maybe it was a good idea I left early.
Next year - ride more, shop less!

WOW!

I think I'm finished,

F4 tinted, vented stock shield
Lamonster gripper NVB pegs and black Diamond detailer
Baja Ron sway bar.
and of course a few tee shirts.

The best part is my lovely wife is still talking to me!

i will ask here

being no one answered the lat time i asked. has anyone seen the young lady Farah, i have not seen her post in a long time and i am wondering if she is ok.

Sounds like a saved a BUNCH of money by staying home. But I'm sure I must have missed some fun somewhere along the way. :sour:

I know what you mean about about the venders creating a huge vacuuming vortex. I spent several hundred last year at my first SpyderQuest in NY. But it was all stuff I REALLY needed. :clap:THIS year I will also shop less and ride more. (UNLESS they get some new vendors to attend. ;) )

My credit card was compromised and shutdown by my bank on Wednesday.:banghead: My new card didn't get to the house until after I landed in Springfield. Needless to say, no card, no getting carried away. But there is always ordering now that I am back home.

Spending at the fest

Bought Elka shocks/Springs for my 13 STS.
Best investment I coul make for vastly improved handling...
Also broke the bank buying fender lighting at Tricled. Last minute purchase...
I justify it for safety and comfort.
SHMBO
may not agree but I have been in the dog house before.
The Elkas helped to for a great time riding with the East Coast Posse.

Figured you were going to break down and get the fender lights. :roflblack:

Glad to see you made it home ok. We'll miss you on the posse's ride back East.

Well for starters I traded the 2012 RTS for a 2016 RTL PB1 Performance
then went to the vendor village and added more
Bumpskid
Missing belt guard
Badboy hornSpyderpops knott grills
Baker build air wings
Double lidlox
TricLED mirror turn signal lights
Custom Dynamics 3rd break light
Plus the items I swapped over from the 2012 to the 2016
If the added travel cost due to the Colorado snowstorms are added in, this was a very expensive Spyderfest!

As the say it's only money!👍

Oh almost forgot and a $30 hoodie from my bride!
