• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want to ride!!!

I want to ride.

Sometimes your wants are granted. The Spyder spun a web today:yes: 52+ degrees and partly sunny is good for me. only around 35-40 miles but it felt great. The new HJC IS-MAX ll helmet fits real nice and is quiet with the shield all the way down. The speaker pockets hold the SENA speakers in nice. All around good trip. Mid 40's and chores tomorrow and #$%^&#@ snow possible next week! This will give me time to think about a new rear tire which I will need in a month or so. :dontknow: what to do. Lots of info on here and I have tread so we shall see. But second web spun:D

I am so sorry you asked!

My water is great, I don't live in Flint, and I have well water.

Now hang on! For years and years Detroit, Flint, Pontiac, and all of the larger on the east side of Michigan were the pride of the state. The auto manufacturing plants were booming, millions of people had great jobs, and the money flowed into those cities in amazing sums. Those cities then spent money like drunken sailors on every social program, park, museum, library, theater, arena, and every other way they could think of. Those cities were blessed with tax revenue that were huge!
During that time those same lead pipes were in the ground, and not one of those city planners, managers, or mayors thought anything about them. They didn't try to dig them up and replace them, they had no short term or long term plan to deal with them.
Move forward to Michigan a few short years ago, that was about ready bankrupt as a state. Those same big cities that once rolled in the cash were trying to keep up with the same lifestyle they once had, and it was forcing them into bankruptcy. We as a state voted in a Governor that has done an amazing job bringing the Michigan economy back by making some hard decisions. One of those decisions was putting a temporary manager in for Flint to handle their previously mishandled financial a fares.
The temporary manager and his team made some great decisions to keep Flint afloat, and a BAD decision on the water. It is easy to see it was a bad decision in hind site, but I am sure it was not easy to see when it was done.
Now it has become a national story attracting such scum as Micheal Moore and many others who are trying to get the Governor prosecuted for criminal actions, and even liken him to ISIS. A lot of these people screaming the loudest are the very people who squandered all of the money when it was flowing in, and NEVER thought of those same lead pipes that have been there throughout their administrations. They are the ones who should be prosecuted!! Every one of those city managers, planners, mayors, and heads of the water department that never took the time or energy to fix Flints lead pipe problem when the money was there! Every one of them is at fault, not the people who tried to keep the city afloat with little to no funds and made a bad decision!

Sorry for the rant, but you had to ask!
The question wasn't ask in a mocking way! But if it worked for you to vent out, is fine with me! I thought that you gave a lot of information assuming is accurate! Have a good weekend!

I wasn't taking it out on you, I am just tired of hearing the one sided narrative that is out there and with that question it opened a door.
Sometimes I think I am better off leaving them closed!:banghead:

Thanks and have a great weekend, hopefully with no snow, no rain, and a lot of sunshine for riding.

WE ALL WANT TO RIDE

This past Friday night, that white stuff came down again. The crews were out before hand and spraying that liquid stuff on the roads. Now after that stuff was cleaned off the roads before hand with the rains, we now have to start over all again. The liquid stuff, SALT!!!! Good ole Wisconsin!!!!!

Here in Maine all bikes need registration and inspection in March. I got it done and with the mild weather thought riding would begin. Oh no. Cold, snow, rain and ice. This sight is the only thing keeping me happy. Thanks folks for being out hear. for a change in the weather pattern.

If we can just make it to Wednesday up here: they're forecasting a good solid WEEK of Sunny, and warm!:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

I WANT TO RIDE ALSO

We have had snow, cold, rain wind, cloudy, the temps in the 30's.

I only have ridden once ( on April 2nd) when I picked up my spyder from being in hibernation, :banghead::banghead::banghead: :yikes::yikes::gaah::gaah: Deanna

My water is great, I don't live in Flint, and I have well water.

Our water won't be great for long as Michigan is the next FRACKING mecca of America. All of us with wells aren't allowed to know what's poisoning us because the fracking companies are exempt from having to disclose their chemical cocktails. At least the folks in Flint know what they're up against and, therefore, how to combat it.

Back on subject, we made it to 60 today! I rode my ATV for an hour down our mutilated dirt roads. I think there's one road that my Spyder will juuust be able to handle to make it to the nearest pavement tomorrow! YEEHAW!!

Yep, I rode all my errands on my Spyder today. Felt good. Went and explained to the fellows at the shop that there is a chip in the key, then watched them try to program it with the Spyder and a master key. Another trip to the dealer that can program it for me. Such is life.
