Had one for about six months now. Like it very much. Price is quite a hurdle, but turns out to be worth it. I've got a real bony butt, and this eases it considerably.

I got the "R", fits great in RT and Corbin seat. I have tried several seats and a friend suggested this. It works. You will forget the price when riding for a while without a sore behind.

Almost a year

The wife and I both ride with them. Air Hawk R. Fit stock seat great, both driver and passenger.
Very happy.

I have the Airhawk R cushion. It does a good job. I reviewed it back in 2014. Here's the thread. Also, here is another thread on the subject, which is the one that caused me to originally buy it.

I recently replaced it with an internal pad that contains a medical grade gel insert. It's made by Motorcycle Dave, one of our sponsors. There is a thread on that here.

Both significantly extend your riding time, as far as comfort is concerned. Dave's "Comformax Gel" insert has the advantage of being a permanent improvement to the seat, so after you install it, you have no "cushion" to deal with. But you have to take your seat apart to get it in - not necessarily a "cake job". I would say that they both provide roughly equivalent amounts of additional comfort.

The Air Hawk has been a constant companion with me for the last three years or so. I use the medium cruiser size for my RT seat.

I have an earlier version of the Hawk. The secret to success is you ride in it and not on it. Too much air will ruin the effect. It takes a couple trial rides to get the inflation where you want it.

Much less investment than a new seat. :yes:

I have the comfort seat on my '08 GS as well as an Airhawk R.

For my back I have just fitted a Utopia backrest (for the rider) & it feels so comfortable. Hoping my back will be OK this riding season.

I tried both the "R" and the Airhawk 2. I couldn't tell enough difference in the two to justify the additional $100. I bought the 2. Now that being said, the Airhawk DID extend my comfortable riding time, but I think I'd rather look at a better seat. The extended riding time was just not very much. Maybe another half hour to an hour, but I have a boney rear end, so, YMMV.

I bought an AirHawk-R for my 2013 RT LTD in 2014 and love it. Last April, I rode from the WV Eastern Panhandle (90 miles NW of Washington DC) to Tucson AZ and back - 5,391 miles over 19 days - (4 nights in Tucson) and I'll never be without one, again. The difference is amazing. Tylenol at breakfast and lunch help, too!

Great product. Very comfortable once you get the air pressure dialed in (as low as possible for your particular anatomy). I have an older version in the medium cruiser size and it fits just fine.

I had the Airhawk and yes helped the "behind" area but NOT the back. Its good but not a magic bullet for all that ails you. Sprung for an Ultimate tall boy with back rest and solved ALL my riding comfort problems

:agree: and did the same thing. I got an Airhawk R and it did help some with the butt but not so much with the back. If that's all the budget allows, you will get some relief. As stated if the back is more an issue, a backrest is a must. I toyed with the idea of a backrest for the stock seat and the airhawk but by then I would have invested half what a new seat would be so I bit the bullet and changed the seat. The Airhawk got returned (only used it once) the seat is awesome without a 'band aid' on it and the backrest makes a world of difference. If you want to fix all the problems long-term, a seat with backrest is the answer, but for short term or budget constraints the Airhawk will help some.

I've been using the AirHawk- R ever since they came out on my FJR1300, my ATV, and Spyder. If adjusted properly (air), they work great ... to prevent back and hip pain. Highly recommended!

Bought the Air hawk for me and my wife ,(2)
I can ride 6-8 hours with no pain, prior to getting
the Air Hawk after 2 hours my butt was in pain,
small price to pay for added comfort. As previously
stated just a little air and your golden.
