I recently had my cluster replaced on our 2014 RT-S due to the clock gaining six minutes a month. BRP and the dealer said the mileage would not be effected by this change....WRONG! The odometer was re-set to zero and BRP has no solution. The dealer can plug in and read the current/correct mileage but cannot transfer it to the display. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? Thanks.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

They can not legally do anything to change the odometer back. Keep a record of the mileage and be sure to record the correct mileage on the Odometer Statement when you sell it.

There is no way to get the accumulated mileage on the new cluster. You do need to get that and keep it so if or when you sell it you can give the true mileage on the machine. Seems the computer keeps those details and the only thing that transfers is the hours of operation....:banghead:

Ask your dealer to affix to the frame a sticker with the actual miles from the replaced cluster; Thought that all dealers did this upon replacement.

I am going back Saturday and have them do that. Seems to me if BRP knew this would happen, they should have supplied the sticker with the new cluster.
I'd rather have a Spyder with a clock that loses time but has the correct miles, than a working clock with a discrepancy in the miles. That's the kind of stuff that people get weird about when you go to sell. Also, looks funny on the title.

I have talked to them and they still do have the other one. I'm going tomorrow and see if they can/will put the old back in. I also found a place here in Dallas, ZEPCO that services and repairs digital speedos and tachs. The guy said they could pull the mileage from the old one and transfer it to the new one but it would be $180.00 plus tax.
That was the recommendation from BRP and was covered under warranty.
Personally, I'd get it swapped back so your mileage is correct and forget there was even a clock there.[emoji106]

Not going to be an "unknown" mileage statement. I've talked to BRP tech support and the dealer. The dealer still has the original cluster which has the original mileage. I have gone less than 200 miles since replacement. The dealer is going to reinstall the original tomorrow at no cost and I will deal with setting the clock. I will have a print out from the dealer showing the actual mileage from the ECM chip.
