• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Limp mode from parking on hill?

Got to our destination for supper tonight and parked on an incline. Went out after eating, fired up the bike and immediately noticed it didn't sound right. We rode it about 100 yards noticing it wouldn't pick up any speed. (Limp mode I assumed) Pulled over, shut it down completely, restarted and it ran fine all the way home. I didn't see any lights or messages. Did the bike possibly go into limp mode due to the incline? Oil pressure maybe? I checked the oil and it's fine. Kinda weird, it's been trouble free for me. It is a 2010 RT. Any thoughts?

Did the bike possibly go into limp mode due to the incline?

No. If it was in limp mode. "Limp mode Home" would have scrolled across the screen. One or more warning lights would have lite up trying to communicate what was wrong.

Oil pressure maybe?

No. Oil pressure and engine light would have lite. It would have gone in limp mode home.

My thoughts the incline had nothing to do with anything.

Hmmm, no messages or lights that I saw. Not liking this at all. Have a 5 day, 1000 mile trip planned starting this coming week.

It's a 2010...
The next time that it starts acting funky; check for error codes...
If you see "P1614"; it's the throttle bodies...
(I had two of them replaced...)

I second the motion for a P1614 code...throttle body. An infamous issue with the 2010 RTs. Had mine changed .

Gotchya. So I hold the mode, set, and press the turn signal at the same time to check codes, right? With the bike running or not?

The ignition switch has to be on...
Lay one thumb across "Mode" & "Set", and then push in the turnsignal switch just like you would to cancel a signal.
Anything that's active, will pop up on your center screen.

Thanks Bob. No active codes were displayed on the screen. Hmmmm...Damn Gremlins.

Only active codes are displayed. If you shut it off then it can only be retrieved by hooking up to BUDS. I'd take that as a good thing and head on out on your trip.

How much of an incline and how much gas in the tank.

Maybe it was having some fuel starvation issue due to the fuel pickup point being exposed.
