A Spyder is a safer, three wheeled motorcycle.
A Slingshot is more dangerous and more open, three wheeled car.
Aside from the number of wheels, they are strikingly different animals. Take a test ride and see what you love, but they aren't at all the same.
I just passed my third Sling Shot in less than a month. I think they are quite cool looking. But deep down I am truly a Polaris guy anyway. It would not replace my Spyder but if the wife would let me park her Tahoe outside I would think about getting one.
Interesting comments. It just so happens that there is a brand new Indian/Victory/Slingshot dealership in Chattanooga over near Pandora BMW.

Was over there yesterday, I think they are going to be a good customer oriented Dealership. BTW......The new Indians are very nice.
Hmmm...just curious. If you are a Polaris guy why do you ride a BRP Spyder?I just passed my third Sling Shot in less than a month. I think they are quite cool looking. LOL! Don't think I wanna do that just yet!! :hun:Sounds like it's time to trade in the Girl Friend.
I have seen a few Slingshots around my area and for some reason I always chuckle to see a grown man in a batman vehicle.
The 2016 Scout now has ABS.
I just picked up a 2015 Scout. Wish I would have waited till the '16's were out.
It is the most comfortable, smoothest and fastest motorcycle I've ever owned. Highly recommended!

We were eyeballin' a SS at the dealer where we picked up the Scout. Not enough time to check it out further.![]()
There were 2 Slingshots at Spyders in the Redwoods, one was driven by Mr. Looney, a former Spyder owner and the other by a guy who wore batman shirts everyday. One of them was parked near where we were doing alignments and I got to spend a lot of time looking at the back end of it and I must say that the back end is really unattractive. Mr. Looney had an alarm on his that would sound if anyone got too close to it, that was very annoying.
Get used to it Ann...... If you try to keep up with us in the twisties, that's all you will see anyway........ :roflblack:
Only playin...... the rear does need a better look.......
