Important Update! – new Turn Signal Button Installation Instructions
New Turn Signal Button Installation Instructions
As the weather has started to warm up there is a possibility that the Turn Signal Button may become loose.
It is strongly recommended as a precaution to apply a small amount of E6000 adhesive or something similar.
It is a permanent adhesive that can be removed should the need arise in the future.
This should solve any issues from prolonged sun exposure during the summer.

What is so special about E6000? Why not Gorilla glue or Super Glue?

The use of E6000 adhesive is only suggested, it would be ok to use something similar.
The use of super glue would not be advised because it does not work well with plastic/rubber, it is not intended for porous surfaces.
The version of Gorilla glue would need to be the epoxy adhesive.
E6000 is suggested because it is tough, clear, and works well with TPU material.
For more information on E6000 check out this link.

I acquired the directional button/shifter pad together from FrogmanDave. The shipment arrived in a couple of days and I tried out the Shift Pad on a 175 mile ride. After the ride, I had no pain in my left hand. Usually, the next day there is something like an ache or pulled tendon in that hand, because of an old injury, but this time there was nothing. I have not installed the directional button, because I don't seem to have a problem with cancelling the signal, but bought it too, just in case. I have been riding for many years and my first motorcycle, a 1976 Honda CB550, had a very annoying, factory installed buzzer connected to the directionals. As annoying as it was, it instilled in me the compulsion to cancel my directionals as quickly as possible, so maybe it served a good purpose after all.

Just installed the directional switch button on my wife's and my F3L's. Easy to do and just tried them in the garage and seems like a much-needed change.

I finally got to ride with the new turn signal button. It's so much easier to cancel without just switching to the other direction. I also find it easier to activate the turn signal over all. Got the shifter pad also but haven't used it yet. Overall an excellent upgrade. Thanks for coming up with this.

Update, since installing the new improved switch button for the turn signals, I must of used it 100+ times. I had issues with the 2020RTL signal button not hitting the sweet spot all the times. Same with the 2022 F3L Limiited. Now, I have not missed it not once since switching to it. A little engineer tweek to the oem button has made a big difference at least for me after riding Harleys for many years.

Update- since installing revised turn signal switch button, I have not once had an issue with it. With the oem button, one had to be dead nuts on center to cancel or would turn on again or turn on the opposite side signal. This revised one hits the sweet spot every time with hundreds of cancellations now performed. Great job at re-engineering.

Requested both the t.s. and shift pad from Dave. I received them in a couple days and installed them. What a difference! Especially the turn signal button. You can be assured the signals are canceled. Because I have relatively large hands and long fingers, reaching the shift paddle wasn't a problem, but the addition of the pad puts the paddle directly under my thumb for effortless shifts.
The signal button should be standard equipment. The shift pad would be very useful to someone with smaller hands and shorter fingers. That being said, I'm not going to remove it.
Both are great products. Thanks TC and Dave.

TCBoone, Dave handled this 'lost item' in a very professional manner. He put a new 'revised' one in the mail and it ain't gonna fall off in a busy street. ....Thanks Dave.

I requested both items Friday evening and they arrived on Tuesday, that's downright exceptional. I won't be installing them until I take the cover off, but when I do it'll be the first mod.
Thanks guys, much appreciated!

Since my first post on this thread back in January of this year I hadn’t paid much attention to it until today. 147 posts!! WOW, a common problem. Yeah, hopefully, BRP has caught on. I don’t know. Such a small improvement and such a seemingly large problem and potential safety issue. As I mentioned in my first post #25, I don’t seem to have the problem that other posters have. I agree that 30 seconds is a long time in heavy multi-lane traffic when signaling and changing lanes at 60/70 MPH. Safety comes first! So, I began to rethink why I didn’t have the same issue; and then it came to me. Long ago I had Joe Meyer (Squared Away) install a small light strip on top of each of my rear-view mirrors connected to my turn signals. Easy for me to see and my rear-view mirrors are always in my peripheral view and my left thumb is always at or near my turn signal button. Everything works in unison and it all just seems second nature to me.

Installed! Easy-Peasy.
My wife will appreciate the shorter reach on the shift paddle, and we'll both benefit from the turn signal mod.
