There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Zumo 660 microphone jack

Silver Tip

New member
hi folks, new :spyder2: owner and new to the board. Just got a 13 ST Ltd. I want to hook up a microphone splitter the Zumo. Do any of you know what panels I need to remove to find the external jack on the Zumo harness. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks for the help

The new 660 harness does have a MIC jack. BRP does not make this harness it is a Garmin bike harness. BRP does make the cable that goes from this to the Spyder's radio.

All the connections will be on the side of the Spyder near the gas tank so you need to remove the side panels.

See this PDF showing all the connections.

Ed Sets? That's a great headset IMO. So you are planning on using a wired headset I take it. Do you have a CB installed? The headset communication system including intercom is contained in the CB radio so in order to use a wired headset on the Spyder you have to have the CB.

I dont understand why

Srz just a redneck but why do you want a mic to the gps? I know it can bluethooth but voice command ? Too many distractions while driving as is. Much less fighting a cord to mic. Personally :banghead: program & go if something comes up :gaah:it can wait till i stop for gas or :bbq:whatever else. GPS is good back up but dont depend on it. IMHO

I have a J&M CB2003du installed on the bike. I also have a switch that redirects the bikes audio to the J&M audio circuit. The mic splitter lets me use my cell phone thru my headset. The Zumo's built in mic is not any good when going down the road. I spend lots of time on the road so need the flexibility.

This is the reason that I bought an EdSets Zumo mic. I had had a Cardo Scala but sold it for parts as it would not hold a charge and would shut off at random times. Used a set of earphones and bought the mic and had two plus years of teathered, but uneventful listening.
