• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all, I need input about installation of the Zumo power cable, how and where to attach? Thanks in advance.

I have a Zumo 550 which I rescued from my bike before I sold it.

Where you take power from depends in part on where on your Spyder you decide to mount the Zumo.

I use an ignition-switched lighting circuit on the RT to activate a relay which provides power from the battery to Garmin's 2-amp fused power lead. :f_spider:

Garmin power

I tapped into the switched power lead at the fuse box on my RS. This is a 3 amp circuit. When you turn off the switch the garmin stays powered for about 15 seconds by :spyder2: and then changes to garmin battery power asking you if it should stay on or power off in 30 seconds. I like this option because I would sometimes forget to manually shut down the GPS. Also when you turn on the key the garmin wakes up quickly.
