• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zippered leather Riding Gloves

A couple of years ago while touring in North Georgia I bought a pair of unlined riding gloves at a cycle accessory store in Helen, Ga.
I like them because they were soft leather, unlined and had zippered backs. (see attach). I have now worn them out and need to replace them. The store in Helen, doesn't carry that style any longer and I have searched the web and our SpyderLovers advertisers to no avail.

I prefer unlined leather because with the heated grips they seem to be perfect for riding (unless it gets down into the teens).

Anyone know where I can find something like this??

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Doesn't it frost you!?! Every time I find a pair of gloves I like, and I wear them out, they turn out to be discontinued. If you know the brand and model, sometimes you can track down a pair on eBay or the Internet, but for the most part they are obsolete in a year or two, and you are out of luck. Planned obsolescence at it's ultimate! :sour:

Just my personal observation... :opps:
I'm not a fan of zippers on gloves because; if it can scratch the finish of the bike, it will at it's very first opportunity! :gaah:
I've come to look more for velcro as a fastener.

Just my opinion...

Zips are on the back of the glove, Bob. Do you backhand your Spyder often?

Velcro has a habit of sticking to stuff it shouldn't and that is probably why flies on men's pants are zippered.

I know... I just have a bad habit of finding ways to scuff finishes up... :opps:
If it can be dropped, I'll drop it; and have it land in the manner guaranteed to do the most damage! :gaah:

I had a pair just like them--but wore them out at least a couple years back. Did not find them at my local place so replaced them with something else. Try motorcyclesuperstore.com. They have a large variety of gloves to choose from.

Sorry, but I don't remember the brand of the zippered gloves.
