So much technical information is available nowadays.

Time will tell on this snow business.
I really hope they are wrong about the snow ❄️ 😕.

Time will tell about the rain.

Sunday is looking about the same.

A beautiful Saturday morning here in the desert. Currently; 92 degrees, no clouds in sight, 3 MPH breeze, humidity at 40% and dropping. It should be down to about 25% by mid afternoon when we will see a high temperature of 100 degrees. Looking ahead, we will have a good cooling trend and should see daytime highs in the 80s by next weekend. Stay safe..... Jim

Today here in Vermont the weather was , cool, breezy, sunny. Temps in the 60's, Tonight they are forecasting a frost in the higher elevations. No rain until next week.

Last night here in Vermont, we had a frost. Today, the temps were in the 60's to 70's - Nice riding weather! It was sunny, but cool.

This week, they are forecasting some rain, but not enough to get us out of the drought that we are currently in (we need at least 2 to 3 days of steady rain). Next week we will get some rain, and our daytime temps will be in the 70's, with lows in the 50's.

The trees are still showing their colors.

91 degrees here in the desert. Mostly sunny with some clouds and a wet front moving through the Northern part of the valley. It's been a breezy first day of Fall. Wind 7-10 MPH with gusts to 15. Humidity is 34%. Tomorrow we will warm back up into the low 100s until Friday, and then cool down into the 80s through the weekend. I hope this is the last bit of summer heat this season. Doing a couple small projects to my old blue pony to get ready for our weekly car shows that begin in October. Fall and Winters are the best times for desert weather. Stay safe... Jim

Today, here in Vermont the temps were in the 70's and it was sunny. We will be finally getting a break from the dry weather! Some spotty showers are moving into Northern New York this evening, and will be working their way East overnight. Then widespread rain fall will be moving in around mid-morning, it will continue through the day, and begin to taper off through the evening, leaving just a few isolated showers for early Wednesday morning.

By the time those showers taper off on Wednesday morning, almost everyone will have picked up between a quarter and a half inch of rainfall. Some localized and lucky spots could see a bit more than that. But thankfully, that's not our only chance for rain in the forecast.

Another round of beneficial rainfall looks like it will move in Thursday and stick around through the day. It looks like we could see another quarter to half an inch of rainfall. And while this is not drought busting rainfall, it's certainly welcome!

A few more quick showers are possible Friday afternoon, and then we return to dry conditions through the weekend and the start of next week. Along with the dry conditions through the weekend, we will also be slightly warmer than average with temps in the low to mid 70's again.

But then the temps will be dropping back into the upper 60's and low 70's to start next week.

As for the Fall foliage: The Fall foliage is nearing it's peak color. Due to the drought, peak color on the trees is coming a few weeks early and the colors are already looking muted, but still pretty. One of the towns here in Vermont has some early birds (leaf peepers) already checking into their hotels and taking to the mountains for leaf peeping. The colors on the trees are turning everyday, and they'll get to see it as it happrns. This town is already bustling with tourists who have travelled from around the country for a glimpse of the early foliage.

The current temp is 69 degrees here in Vermont.

It is no secret that we are in the midst of a severe drought across Vermont. The good news that we are on the eve of our first really good soaking rain in months!

While we'll all see some beneficial rains, Southern Vermont and the Upper Valley are to see some especially nice rainfall totals.

Tonight: showers are likely after 1AM (EST), other wise it will be cloudy with overnight lows in the mid 60's. Chance of rain is 60%.

Tomorrow: Cloudy and cool with rain and showers primary before 2AM (EST), Rain accumulations will vary.
Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 60's, Chance of Rain 100%. YEA!!!

Friday: Mostly sunny, mild, and drying out. Morning lows in the 60's, afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70's.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, mild, with calm conditions before a North wind develops. Morning lows will be in the mid 50's. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 70's.

Sunday: Very sunny, warm, and pleasant with morning lows in the 50's. Afternoon highs in the low to mid 80's.

Next week, it looks like the weather will be on the cool/mild side, with lots of sunshine. They are forecasting no rain to relieve the drought!

For those of you who are getting rain, please send some rain to Vermont ASAP!

Deanna
