Great weather for flying kites today here in South Oz - IF you wanta watch your kites fly away free on the wind, ignoring all attempts at restraint, and likely to circumnavigate the World on the winds we're getting now!! :yikes:

The BoM here has gone berserk with the Warnings over the couple of days - Severe Weather Warnings, Damaging Wind Warnings, Storm Force Wind Warnings; Gale Force Wind Warnings... Oh, and they put out a Sheep Graziers Warning too, cos it's gonna be cold and wet and any sheep that are unladen by a heavily soaked fleece will probably blow away like those bloody kites! :gaah:

But the weather report says that while it's gonna stay windy for a few days  it's also getting warmer, cos September is here so Spring has Sprung in the Land Down Under! The buds are budding; the shoots are shooting; the birds are trying to make nests (with little success atm, cos everything just blows away! :sour: ); and all the early planting seedlings are juuuust starting to break thru the soil and start to grow. There's even the occasional milli-second of sunlight as the clouds scud across the sky, but they're in too much of a hurry to drop too much rain right now, altho there's more of that forecast if the winds drop a little so that the clouds can slow down enough to empty their load!

But the scenery out there is fantastic atm - well, if you can find a sheltered spot outta the wind to watch it from! And I got rid of the last of the soggy leaves left over from before winter too - the wind's blown them all away! :ohyea:

Have a great Labor Day today. Yes, here in the USA, we celebrate the first Monday of September as Labor Day, and most people get the Day off as a holiday.

Currently we have clear sky and 56°F.
No rain Today.
The temperatures are going to be a little cooler moving forward. The days are starting later on the Sunrise and earlier with the Sunset. So we have less day light.

High today of only 74°F with lots of sunshine.
Low at 48°F.

Ryde whenever you can and enjoy...

:banghead:... For the record... today is the First Monday of September.
My Brain was running faster than I expected.
I just didn't want you to miss a day of fun and excitement... :roflblack:

Happy Labor Day fellow Americans. 71 and sunny here in Arkansas. More of the same expected over the next couple of days. Had a couple nice soaking rain showers yesterday. The grass is all green again.

I can't believe it's September already. Weather is still just like summer except we're not having excessive heat here in the desert. Currently it's 100 degrees and headed for a high of 105 today. There are no clouds and the humidity is 18%. The breeze is blowing 8-10 MPH. No monsoon action expected today. The last two evenings we did have a little taste of monsoon. Night before last the wind came up and thunderstorms moved through, but there was only enough rain to make spots on the driveway. Didn't really get anything wet. Last night we saw a bit more. Quick moving thunderstorms had lightning with simultaneous thunder that rattled my little house. A couple of quick showers that washed the dust off my windows. They are nice and crystal clear this morning. Stay safe... Jim

:coffee:...Welcome to the first Work Day of September. Kind of seems like a long weekend. The wife said, "Well, it was, because of Labor Day."
I know but I forgot. Oh well, it's been a challenge to keep up with everything. I'm older now.

Currently cloudy sky and 52°F. Man this is just a little chilly. Just might have to close the windows to stay warm.

Today's numbers are 77°F for the high.
Mostly cloudy sky and no rain here.
Low at 53°F. I will close the windows tonight.

Remain completely calm and you can enjoy your Day. Stay in the Game. ....

The heat's coming back! Today is a pretty normal weather day here in the desert. High will be 105 and overnight low in the low 80sVery light breeze and no clouds. But - Starting tomorrow and through next week we are back to having excessive heat. Highs will be 110+ and overnight lows in the mid 80s+. This hot ol' summer just keeps hanging on. I've lost track on the number of consecutive days we've been over 100 degrees, but it's got to be at least 3 1/2 months now. Stay safe... Jim

I just researched and the last day the high in Phoenix was below 100 degrees was May 26th when the high was 99.

Well here in Vermont, we have had chilly weather just recently. After a chilly and some of us, a frosty start to the work week, we saw our temps jump right back up into the 60's and 70's for the highs under mostly sunny skies.

High pressure brings fair weather, and we've got a huge, slow-moving area of high pressure right over the NorthEast, and it's not going anywhere soon. That means more of this fine, late-summer weather for the rest of the work week.

But! Once we get into the weekend, a frontal system will be moving in with some wet weather. Showers will be showing up later in the day on Saturday, and then continuing into Sunday. There could still be some showers lingering into Monday & Tuesday of next week, when temps come back down just a bit again.

The current temp is 57 degrees and clear; Feels like temp is 57 degrees.

Whatever is the reason, summer heat ends tomorrow. We have had hot hot days in Northeast Louisiana for three months. I cannot ride in temps over 85. I have a body cooler but over 85 is no match. Lately I've been riding mornings to a coffee shop about 30 miles distant but by the time I get back, it is killer hot. I guess that inability to stand hot weather is a part of aging. But September and October have some fantastic riding weather. I have a couple of trips planned and Thursday is the day I start.

Summer was nice inside my air conditioned house. But outside.....

:chat:...Well, I closed the windows last night and I am glad. Currently we have mostly clear sky and 53°F. It is supposed to be a little warmer today.

High today of 84°F with sunshine.
Low at 61°F. No rain.

Have a Blessed Day. ....

Today the weather in Vermont was sunny, and the temps were in the 70's to 80's. Blue skies. Comfortable riding weather (and the leaves are starting to show their colors).

The current temp is 67 degrees and the skies are clear.

The stretch of beautiful, late summer weather will continue the rest of the work week, with sunny, warm, days, and clear, cool, nights.

Then, just in time for the first weekend of September, there will be a change in the weather pattern as a low-pressure system scoots by just to our North. That system will bring a round of rain showers late Saturday into the first part of Sunday. The bulk of the showers will happen during Saturday night, so most of the daytime hours over the weekend will be dry.

There may be a lingering shower or two on Monday, but most places will stay dry. It will be a tad cooler by the end of the weekend into the start of next week.

Then the temps will start to rebound again, under partly sunny skies for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Everyone stay safe & healthy

Deanna

Yesterday's sunshine was great. I was able to get out there and do some yard work. We had a little storm last week and several trees were down. Currently we have mostly clear sky and 67°F.

Today is going to be another sunny day.
High of 88°F.
Low at 65°F. No rain today.

Have some fun and be Safe. ....

From the desert... It's 12:30 PM, 109 degrees, and climbing. Humidity is 11 %. I looked at the expanded map showing temperatures for the West Coast, and it looks HOT everywhere West of the Rockies. Even Los Angeles is currently showing 103! UGH!!! Stay safe and hydrated... Jim

:coffee:...Well yesterday's weather was just to hot for me. I finished my yard/trees work. Hopefully no more high winds for a while.
Currently I have lite rain showers and 66°F.

High today of 75°F and chance of afternoon rain showers.
Low around 46°F. Good High School Football watching time.

Have a great day and enjoy Life. ....

We continue to shatter heat records here in the desert. Yesterday it was a blistering 116 degrees. The overnight "low" was 94 this morning. Today will be the 57th day of 110+ degrees and the 103rd consecutive day above 100 degrees. There is no end in sight. I've gotten used to brushing my teeth in warm (hot) water but the cold water tap is no longer producing a refreshing shower. Stay safe..... Jim

We made 80 today but back to the 70's Sat & Sun. There was dew on the windshield this AM. Seems like fall is creeping up slowly.

Low of 45°F. No rain.

:chat:...Welcome to Monday. We are having somewhat of a warm up this week. Maybe get up to the 80s. Currently sunshine and 62°F.

Today's numbers are looking good for now.
High of 77°F.
Low at 48°F. No rain here.

The trees are starting to drop their leaves. Maybe have an early Autumn here in Indiana. I hope not, but hey the change could be a blessing.
:shemademe_smilie:...Said "I'm wanting to see the Fall Colors".

Everything is good for now. ....
