Summer excessive heat has finally ended here in the desert. We officially had 113 consecutive days when the temperature exceeded 100 degrees. Right now, it's 87 and we have a forecast high of 94. Overnight low is expected to be 72. The humidity is 19% and there is a 6 MPH breeze. There are no clouds in sight. There are a couple days late next week when we might hit 100 degrees again. Not unusual for this time of year. This is just the beginning of many months of pleasant desert winter weather. Soon, the Snowbirds will be flocking here and creating long lines at Walmart and Costco..... Stay safe..... Jim

High today of 90°F with sunshine.
Still waiting for some rain.

Today's forecast is sunny and 92F. However, we apparently will soon be affected by the weather moving in from the Gulf of Mexico, so tomorrow is 70% chance of storms and high of 82F. Thursday thunderstorms and 75F. Looking ahead temps will be in the lower 80's. I've been watching the forecast for Maggie Valley as well as I hope to attend the Spyder Ralley next week. Hopefully it will not be too rainy.

Currently in Deep South Texas it’s 87*F w/ 76% humidity, headed for a high of 93*F. Hit & miss showers this afternoon. Checking closely as I’m striking out before dawn tomorrow on the F3-S, headed for the Green Country Jamboree in Tahlequah, Okla. Looks like we’ll have good traveling weather Wed and Thur, but Friday looks to be a bit damp all over the NW Ark / NE Okla area, and much better by Saturday.

Happy Fall everyone. Currently 71 degrees with cloudy skies. The greens are getting hints of fall colors as we look around the area.

The heat is back. It's currently 101 degrees and heading for a high of 105+ here in the desert. We have another excessive heat warning which will last for the next week+/-. That means daytime highs will be in the 105-112 range. Nighttime lows will creep up to about 80. This SHOULD be the last heat blast for the season. Our humidity is 12%. There are no clouds in sight, and we have a 3-5 MPH breeze. Stay safe..... Jim

We made it to 70 today. We are experiencing some of the after effects of the hurricane. All the rain passed to our east by two states. Mostly on the windy side today.

Here in Vermont we had a couple of days of soaking rain, we are now back on track to enjoy another long stretch of sunny, warmer weather.

High pressure over the northeast will give us plenty of sunshine over the weekend and into the start of next week. Temps will be pleasant, humidity will be comfortable and the winds will be light. The remnants of Hurricane Hellene will stay well to our south.

The next chance for showers will be Tuesday night into Wednesday with a cold front coming through, That will knock down the temps for the end of the week, but we'll also be getting the sunshine back too.

As for the fall foliage here in Vermont, is is really starting to ramp up now, especially in the higher elevations, the Adirondacks, The Northeast Kingdom, and the Northern New Hampshire.

The current temp is 65 degrees, mostly cloudy.

( off topic, I hope everyone stays safe during the Hurricane Helene).

Deanna

Weekend Weather 9/28 - 9/29

:coffee:....Well yesterday's weather was just as advertised. Rain, rain and more rain. Yes, lots of wind causing the trees to lose hundreds of leaves and some branches. More wind for today. A neighbor down the road had a tree blow down in their yard.

Currently we have a cloudy sky and 65°F.
Several large areas of water standing in the yard. Lots of yard trash and more. I guess it is better than a tree coming down and doing damage to the house.

Today's high is 70°F with some rain showers.
Low of 64°F. Evening rain.

Sunday's high is 71°F with some rain showers.
Low at 62°F and showers.
Be careful about driving through water on the road.

Enjoy your Weekend and stay Healthy. ....
