Today will be the 4th official day of 100 degree+ temperatures this season here in the desert. Many more to come! I've already started my mental planning for a summer trip up north in my little convertible. Hope to get out of the desert heat and mooch off friends and relatives for the better part of a month. Wednesday 5/15/24

....Well we have overcast sky with rain this morning. Currently 61°F and looks like all morning rain showers. Yesterday was a very rainy day and I had 1" of rain. Farm planting is on hold here for a few days. Not what we needed or wanted. We are always playing this weather game this time of year.

High today of 70°F with some clouds in the afternoon.
Low of 55°F. No late afternoon showers on the schedule today.

A few things to check out inside today. Definitely not going to wash the Truck any time soon.

Thursday 5/16/24

Well yesterday's rain was good and wet. This is day three of some rain showers in our local area. So, Yes everything looks good and green.
There are some standing water areas in my yard. No flooding issues for me.

Currently we have cloudy sky at 58°F.
High today of only 76°F with some sunshine.
Low at 61°F. Calling for some rain showers later tonight.

Friday 5/17/24

:chat:...Boy did we get some rain late last night and into this morning. I can't see the rain gage but I believe it was a good 1/2" or more. Currently overcast sky and 63°F.
Chance of getting some more rain this afternoon.
My grass is growing like crazy and it is ready to be cut.

Today's high is 74°F with some clouds and sunshine.
A rain shower in the afternoon is possible.
Low at 60°F and no rain in the forecast.

Here in central Vermont the near term weather is going to be in the low to mid 80's :clap: ..... with mostly sunny ..... generally speaking 80's in May is not normal ..... but I'll take it .....Mike :thumbup:

This evening, I went on my usual golf cart cruise around the community. It's a ritual that has become a daily event. At 8PM I passed the time/temperature sign in front of our entrance, and it read 97 degrees! A sign of things to come. :gaah:

Weekend 5/18 - 5/19/24

Well, Everyone has made it to the WEEKEND. Currently I have a clear sky and lots of Sunshine at 63°F. I have several projects going on and when that stops, it will be a while. ....:roflblack:

Today's numbers are looking good for me.
High of 81°F with sunshine.
Low of 62°F and no rain here.
The yard is extremely wet and has some puddles.

Sunday's high is 87°F and sunny.
Low at 65°F. No rain.

80’s yesterday, got a great ryde in. This morning it’s 51 with a bite in the air. We will be lucky to hit 70 today.

Day time temperatures have been right at 100 degrees here in the desert. Today will be no exception. We're still cooling down to about 70 at night. In another month or so we won't get much below 90 during the nights. That's when it becomes uncomfortable. No relief from the heat. Last year we had more than 650 heat related deaths in our county. Unfortunately, we will probably see a repeat of that again this summer. Stay safe..... Jim

Monday 5/20/24

Good Morning, currently clear sky at 63°F. Yesterday was a beautiful dry day with lots of sunshine. Some of my yard is still to wet to cut. They finally said that we received over 2.5" of rain last week. No rain here till late Tuesday evening. Some Indiana Farmers are selling waiting to get into their fields. It's going to be another late planting season this year.

High today of 86°F with lots of sunshine.
Low of 66° and no rain till Tuesday evening.

Tuesday

Well Tuesday ended up being a little bit busy.
I was visiting with my Mom who is now under Hospice Care. Please Pray for me and my family as we try to adjust to life moving forward.

High was 88°F with sunshine.
Low was 74°F.

...Good Morning and Welcome to my local area weather news. Currently we have overcast sky at 73°F. It was raining this morning and now we have a break from the rain.

Today's numbers are looking good.
High of 80°F with clouds.
Low of 58°F and some clouds.

Thursday 23rd

:chat:....Well yesterday was another fine day, currently clear sky and 62°F. Got in a warmer ryding time. Gee it was so good. I hope you enjoy your Ryde Time.
The wife and I are going on a wonderful Ryde Time very soon. She has decided to let me take her on a once a week basis for now.

Today's numbers are 81°F with lots of sunshine.
Low at 61°F and no rain today.

Friday 24th

...Welcome to Friday's weather news. Currently we have overcast sky and 63°F. Yesterday was a beautiful day and the wife enjoyed the Spyder Ryde Time. She's willing to go on a once a week ryde, now that the weather is warm. We had a great time and enjoyed some lunch.

High today of 84°F with sunshine.
Low at 64°F and a small chance of getting some rain showers tonight.

....Welcome to the Memorial Day Weekend, currently we have overcast sky and 61°F.

Today is going to be a off and on rainy day here in Indiana. We already had an early morning shower.
High today of 79°F and some rain.
Low of 58°F.
