70's again today. Later this PM we are supposed to get the beginnings of the tornadic storms that are going to attack the South and Midwest. At the moment the maps show the severe weather to be just outside of our area. They are supposed to move North and the Easterly

The weather forecasters are saying that they have not seen a pattern like this one since about 2012. I still have not settled down from the tornado we had last Memorial day which came within two miles of us. They have already re-built two of the three houses that were taken out. A third hose has been demolished. No building activity there yet.

Yes, Finally another Weekend!!!
Somehow I always look forward to the Weekend. Although I'm retired and enjoy the Time. Some of my friends are still employed and have to wait for the great day for their retirement.
Currently we have a cloudy sky and rain showers. 🌧 Temperature is 60°F with some wind. Calling for some rain showers later in the afternoon.

Today's high is only 67°F, with some rain showers.
Low at 42°F. Chances of showers tonight.

Sunday's high at only 46°F, with some rain.
Low of 26°F with clouds.

Yesterday's temperatures were so good at 79°F. Now with some rain showers Saturday and Sunday.
The Cooler weather is Not my favorite. Oh well, that's the way life goes sometimes.

Ryde if you can and enjoy your Time.
'Til Next Time. (y)

After a couple days of off and on rain, we're starting to dry out here in the desert. Currently 54 degrees, humidity at 61%, calm wind, and a few left over puffy clouds. High today will be 65. The humidity should dramatically decrease as the day progresses. No more rain in the forecast. For the second Friday in a row, my weekly car show was a wash-out. Glad to have another on Sundays, even though it's a lot smaller. We seem to have pretty good weather on Sundays. I think it is divine intervention. Stay safe... Jim

Monday morning and it is very cold here. The current temperature is listed as 28°F with a wind chill makes it feel like 25°F. No, I am definitely not happy about this situation. But there's nothing I can do about it. So I will just chill out. Thank goodness no rain or snow showers for us.

A Big Shout out for 'Happy Saint Patrick's Day'.

Now on with the Weather.
Today's numbers are 52°F with some sunshine.
Low at 43°F. Clouds are having fun.

Have yourself a Blessed Day. (y)

We have a high scattered cloud cover here in the desert, nothing that the sun can't penetrate, but it makes the sky look milky instead of clear blue. Currently, it's 74 and headed for a high of 80 today. Humidity is 27% and the wind is calm. We'll cool down to about 70 tomorrow, before warming back up. In fact, the long range forecast has us seeing mid 90s in the middle of next week. Stay tuned... And stay safe... Jim

Tuesday and definitely warmer than yesterday. Monday's high was listed as 52°F and today's high is going to be 72°F. Now that is what I call a wonderful temperature day. Two more days till Spring here in Indiana. Currently mostly clear sky with 43°F. Man I'm ready to go for a Spyder Ryde Time.

Today's high at 72°F with some clouds.
Low of 55°F with afternoon sunshine.
Going to have to check out my Spyder and see if it is going to be ready for the first Ryde.
I hope you all are doing well and staying Healthy.

Until Next Time. (y)

Wednesday morning and we have a cloudy sky at 58°F. A 80% chance of rain showers this afternoon. You know 'April showers bring you the May flowers' that's what my wife says. Spring is tomorrow (3/20/2025) here in Indiana.

Today's high is 65°F with some clouds and a little bit of sunshine.
Low at 37°F.
Spyder is getting ready for April's first Ryde.

Enjoy your Day and Stay Healthy.
Until Next Time. (y)

Well, here in Vermont we are getting ready for another big swing in temperatures. Wednesday is the last day of Winter, and the temps will be shooting up into the 60's for most of us, ahead of an approaching frontal system from the West.

Spring officially starts at 5:01 AM EST early on Thursday. It will be warm & breezy, but the frontal system will start to move in late in the day and into the overnight hours with a round of rain and snow showers, which will end up as all snow going into Friday as the colder air works its way in. There will be a dusting to 2" to 3" of new snow, perhaps a bit more in the higher elevations, through the day on Friday.

The first weekend of Spring is looking decent during the daytime hours, but a quick moving front will come thru late Saturday and Saturday night with a few snow showers. Saturday will be the warmer day of the two weekend days.

Another frontal system will come in on Monday with rain and snow showers, some of which will linger into Tuesday.

The current temp is 64 degrees, & cloudy.

My Spyder is getting restless in its winter's nap!!!

We are having a beautiful winter day here in the desert. Today's high will be 75 and the overnight low will be 49 degrees. We have a very light breeze and the humidity is currently 13%. There are no clouds in sight. The forecast still shows a big warm up for us next week. It may be time to get the swimsuit out of winter storage. Stay safe... Jim

Well, first off - today is Spring. That's a good thing. Ole man winter is not giving up his fight. The temperature is in the neighborhood of cold at 43°F. Ready for this, snow showers are on the schedule for the morning.

High today at 45°F with mostly cloudy sky.
Low of 26°F. Going to be a windy day.

Have yourself a great day and be Healthy.
'Til Next Time. (y)

Well, here in Vermont, we currently have cloudy skies and sunshine. The temp is 56 degrees. We ushered in Spring at 5:01 AM EST. Today will feature some more sunshine like conditions, and we'll be warm and breezy with highs in the 60's. But later today and into tonight, a cold front will be moving through, bringing some rain showers into the area.

The rain will transition over to some snow for Friday morning as colder air moves in, and we could see accumulations of a coating to 2" with some higher totals in the higher elevations. The snow will be clearing out by Friday afternoon and we could see some sunshine with highs in the low 40's come tomorrow afternoon.

The weekend is not looking too bad, with dry and sunny conditions for both days, but there is one hiccup in between. The high temps for Saturday will return to the low 50's, but a quick moving front will pass through overnight and into Sunday, causing another temp drop for Sunday. That front might feature a few rain and snow showers Saturday night into early Sunday. We will be cooler on Sunday as a result, with daytime highs in the 30's.

Next week we will have yet another frontal system coming through that looks like it will be bringing some rain and snow showers.

Everyone stay Safe, healthy, and keep the 3 wheels down!

Snowmobile riding is done for the season. We had a great snowmobile season. Now the Spyder season starts, YEA!!!

Well, down South we are headed back into the 30's tonight. We have had some nice weather over the last couple of days, mixed in with tornadoes. Now we have this yellowish green, dry rain coming down.

I attended an https://msf-usa.org/ 3-Wheel Basic Rider course over the weekend (my second time going through the course) using my Spyder, rather than the Ryker 600's the training organization provides. Another student also brought his own Ryker Sport. Other than the bikes and the training, most of the discussion was about the weather, and whether or not we'd get rained on.

It was very windy by the time the class wrapped up about 1:30 pm, and a couple of rain drops had fallen, and Apple Carplay was showing I had a 50 minute drive home. Before I left the instructor approached me and asked if I had a rain suit, and I confirmed I did (mine's made by Bilt), and said I'd stop and put on the pants if it started raining hard. I was wearing a Sedici Avventura jacket and jeans, so I'd just have to don the pants.

I had a 20 minute drive to get to the freeway, and then about 40 minutes on the freeway to get home.
As I was leaving there were a few drops falling.

About 10 minutes into the ride it started raining, not a heavy downpour, and not enough to obscure my view through the windshield.
And then the wind shifted, and it started blowing from my left, and my left leg got pretty soaked.
By the time I got to the freeway it had stopped raining, but the wind was still blowing.

The last few miles on the freeway were difficult, as the wind picked up even more, and I struggled to keep from getting blown out of my lane.
The good news is that it wasn't raining, and the wind had dried my pants.
