There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Well we in Vt. got a major DUMP of snow, my area got 20 in. of heavy - wet snow ..... 100 mi south of me got 40 in...... and my Sno-blower BROKE :gaah::banghead: ... well not broke, the drive belt came off the pulley ..... I was able to do the dis-assembly to get it back on , but it took two hours .... so all's good now:clap: .... Mike

Big change today from the nice weather we have had the last few days here in the desert S.W. It will be rainy off and on all day with heavy thunderstorms this evening. The high will be 64 with an overnight low of 50. I had a big mug of decaf with breakfast this morning. In order to keep my spirits up on a gray, wet day, I added a good squirt of Hershey's chocolate and a chug of Peppermint Schnapps. I don't use the "high test" Schnapps, just the low alcohol type. It's there mostly for the flavor. Goes well on a wintery day even here in the desert. Stay safe..... Jim

Here is the latest update on the Nor'Easter that dumped several FEET of snow on many of us here in North-East. The steady snow will be tapering off to snow showers today, especially in the higher elevations as the storm system slowly drifts off to the East. Another dusting to a couple of inches of snow will accumulate, with a bit more in the Green Mountains. The storm will be out of here tonight and clouds will be breaking up.

Thursday will start with some sunshine, but as another system comes at us from the west, there may be a few snow/rain showers from late afternoon through into the evening hours.

The next system will catch up with us on Friday, just in time for ST. Patrick's Day. With a little warmer air in place, what we get out to this system will be mostly rain showers, but there could be some snowflakes in the higher elevations. Those rain/snow showers will be persisting through Friday night and into the start of the weekend on Saturday (the LAST WEEKEND of Winter!!!!  ). We will get some sunshine on Sunday, but there is still a chance of a few mountain snow showers.

Spring begins on Monday at 5:24 PM with the occurrence of the vernal equinox. Also, it will be Spring Like with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 40s. Tuesday is looking much the same.

Stay healthy and safe everyone!

If anyone is shoveling the snow; take breaks, & stay hydrated!

Deanna

2 days of sun and 60 degree temps, and I’m down with the crud…. Get to feeling better, and temps drop, the wind roars, and the snow flies. Sometimes life ain’t fair….

Rain, Rain, Snow, rain. I was ankle deep in snow in my front yard and now it is all gone, but more snow is forecast.

Chest Cold? ?

:coffee:...Well, I just woke up this morning and had a major coughing problem. I called my Doctor office and they told me to go to emergency care.
Now I am trying to calm my wife and myself. Thank You for your Prayers.

Currently clear sky and 36°F.

I will post more later today or tomorrow.

Yesterday and last night were WET here in the desert S.W. Today should be dry and partly cloudy. The high will be 68, well below our average of 78 for this date. The overnight low will be 48. The wind is at 5 MPH. I've mentioned this before, but this continues to be a very unusually cold and wet winter for us. Our water reservoirs are 91% of capacity. This time last year they were at 72%. The mountain snow melt is just now starting. To make room for the melt, water is being released from the reservoirs at the rate of 2,222% of normal for this date. They are trying to release it as slowly as possible in order for it to leach into the ground and replenish our underground aquafers. But we just keep getting more and more run-off from the rain. We need a couple weeks of cool dry weather to get things settled down. Stay safe and well wishes go out to you, Blue..... Jim

...My coughs are under 'warranty' control by a new RX.
I did my time with my local ER. Never a quick trip.
I had to wait an hour to see a MD Doctor.
Yes lots of Nurses did their job.
I am very grateful for Nurses.

This morning I'm not going anywhere just taking care of my health.

Currently Raining here and 49°F. I guess it will be off and on most of the morning here. Temperatures are going to drop off to 28°F tonight. .....:banghead:
Maybe get some snow showers.
Stay Healthy. ....

Happy St. Patrick's Day. ......:shemademe_smilie:

Garage door was frozen shut this morning.

I remember an old Vargas illustration in the March issue of Playboy decades ago ... the idealized sultry young nymph was saying "in like a lion and out like a lamb" .... let's hope so (weather wise, that is)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The Vargas girls. That was some good stuff. PS. I was one of those that read Playboy for the articles. :roflblack:

I especially liked the Jimmy Carter interview.

Some improvements to report on my health. The RX is making me feel somewhat better and that is a good deal.
Thanks for your support and prayers. ....

More of the same here. 30 above this AM. Looks like we are going to make 40's for the first day of Spring on Monday.

Saturday, 18th........ last night the weather monkey on the web site for local weather said there was a slight chance of light rain for Saturday morning. Saturday morning is now in the past. It has been pouring rain ever since I woke up, around 4 AM. It is still pouring down rain. It has not slacked up all day. Most of the yard has standing water.

Still plenty of thunder to the west also. I have decided not to water my garden this afternoon.

At least it is 70 degrees and good growing weather. Plenty of groceries in the garden already and more coming soon. Pastures look good too. Lots of fat steaks walking around eating grass.

It's a cloudy day here in the desert S.W. The high today will be 63 with an overnight low only going down to 56 degrees. Rain will start late this afternoon and continue into tomorrow for most of the day. The unusually cool and wet winter California has experienced holds true for us here in Arizona too. We should be having sunny, 80 degree weather this time of year. Those visitors that came here for spring break are probably wondering why they bothered! Stay safe..... Jim
