Nice day here in the Adelaide Hills of South Oz today/Monday - fine & mid 30's °C. We're catching up on the last few days of Western Australia's weather tho, so tomorrow is looking to be juuust a little warmer - if WA's recent weather and the forecast is anything to go by, we're expecting an overnight low of about 18°C and a high of about 40°C tomorrow (Tuesday); followed by an overnight low of around 24°C and a high of 44°C for Wednesday... But we should get a few cooler days later in the week...

And while we cook, lots of Victoria is burning; NSW is bracing for more rain, cold weather, and possibly even summer snow; and further North, up in the Northern Territory and especially around Northern & Far Northern Queensland, there's cyclones brewing and places getting rain dumped on them like you just wouldn't believe - in a 'rarer than a one-in-2000 year event', there's a few areas up there that've copped around 1.5 metres of rain in less than 3 days, some even getting close to a metre in 24 hours!! And they're expecting up to another 0.5 metre over the next couple of days too!!

Talk about 'Climate Change'!?! 😖

Seems like Puxatawny Phil was right. Since the 67 degree day we have had edgy weather. It has a cold feel to it. Reminds me of Alaska at times. (y)
Anyone got a good Groundhog stew recipe.:sneaky:
Got a good 4" to 6" of snow Saturday night.
Spent Sunday shoveling.
Supposed to stay below freezing for the next two weeks.

Well here in Vermont we will be having the current weather pattern continue for the foreseeable future. Which means the following:

A weak cold front will swing through on Tuesday with some snow showers and possible heavier squalls in the afternoon. That may happen right around the time of the evening commute.

Wednesday will be OK with some sunshine. Then our next fast moving system will come through Wednesday night into Thursday with a few inches of accumulating snow. There may also be a bit of a mix with some sleet and rain on Thursday.

Friday will be the next break in the weather with some sunshine.

Then, a larger, stronger storm system will be moving in late Saturday and hanging around Sunday and on a little into Monday. At this point, it looks like we could get some widespread significant snow out of this storm.

People out West, send us some warm weather. Hurry up Spring!

The current temp is 2 degrees and cloudy.

Puxatawny Phil was right about 6 more weeks of winter!

Well here in Indiana, the temperatures are going to be 40°F or less all this week. Really not a problem.
February Weather is usually in the 30s to low 40s. We might get some snow showers this week.
Currently overcast sky at 30°F, feels like 24°F.
They are saying we are actually 2 inches short on rain for the year.
Go figure out that one.

High today of 34°F with lots of clouds.
Low at 28°F. No rain today.

Have yourself a Blessed Day Everyone. (y)

Here in North Alabama, the weatherman tells us we are low on rainfall for the year, but expect the 4-7" of rain over the next 4 days to help just a little bit. Overcast now with some light drizzling. Temps staying in the '40's. I was hoping the rain would hold off for 1/2 a day because an elderly friend from church who formerly rode a Goldwing is getting a ride from me to go to the eye doctor and I was hoping to surprise him giving him another ride on the Spyder, but no such luck. We need the rain, but it sure interferes with my ryding!

Partly cloudy and 68 degrees here in the desert. We'll hit a high of 75 today. Breeze of about 5 MPH. We did have some rain in the forecast for later in the week but that seems to be "drying up" now . Looks like the rest of the week we'll see seasonally average temperatures for us... Highs about 70 and overnight lows about 50. Just about perfect riding, golf, and hiking weather. Unfortunately, I have my annual doctor physical this afternoon. And I need to be fasting! So my day is all cattywampus and I get grumpy when I'm hungry but can't eat. I have some deferred health issues that have been sneaking up on me over the last few years. Time for a head to toe close evaluation. Stay safe... Jim

Wednesday is the start of a winter storm watch for us. Currently 29°F with rain showers coming in the afternoon. Temperatures are starting to drop off some.

Today's game is 33°F for the high.
Rain showers changing over to freezing rain and then snow.
Just what I don't need.
Low at 24°F with some snow ❄️ 😬
Calling for less than a inch of snow.

Have Yourself a Blessed Day and be
Healthy. (y)

Well, we have a very lite dusting of snow on the ground this morning. We just missed the freezing rain as it was north of us. Currently cloudy sky at 29°F with wind chill it's 13°F.

Just saw that CA is still having issues with the rain. Over 3" in some places. This is causing mud slides for the fire damage areas. Praying for the family's in trouble with
this issue.

High today of 26°F with mostly cloudy sky.
Low at 6°.

Try and stay calm and make the best of things.
Till Next Time. (y)

.
Over 6" of snow since midnight and much more to come. Getting buried here at 6,000 ft in Northern Nevada. Many hours of shovelling and snowblower usage ahead for me.

A good 8" or more last night, more for the weekend.:(
Our motorcycle security system (snow pile in front of shed) is 5' high and 8' deep by 16' long! ;)

The desert is also having a winter "storm" (for us). Cloudy and 66 degrees. Breeze at 4 MPH. There is rain moving into the valley, mostly in the Northern part right now. The mountains to the North are getting much needed snow. We are expecting a break in the rain later tonight, but the rain will increase tomorrow morning. The storm currently bringing lots of rain to California will blow on through here and be off the East by 1PM. After that we'll be back to sunshine and 70 degrees. Stay safe... Jim

Well here in Vermont, we are going to get an other snowstorm (it is going to be a Nor Easter). They are forecasting 6-12" inches of snow. The snow will be heavy/wet.

The Nor Easter will start on Saturday, and it will end on Monday.

Finally Friday and a very cold start today. Currently clear sky and 9°F.
I am able to see a mostly full moon this morning. Definitely a bone cold weather day here in Indiana.
We received a little bit of snow on Thursday morning.
Nothing to worry about.

High today of 32°F and mostly cloudy.
Low at 29°F. No Snow here.
Maybe get some rain showers late tonight.

Check on your family and friends.
Have yourself a Blessed Day. (y)

Well, the big rainstorm we were supposed to have this morning just didn't happen (at least not since I woke up). Just a lot of passing clouds. Right now, I'm in a big weather divide. To the East, it's all cloudy... and some are pretty dark. To the West, it's all blue sky. Currently it's 67 degrees and headed for a high of 70 today. Radar doesn't show any showers coming our way, just sunny blue sky. Time to dust off the little convertible and head out to our Friday afternoon car show. Stay safe... Jim

Today here in Vermont it was the calm before the storm. We will be getting a Nor-Easter starting on late Saturday afternoon when light snow showers start to move in from SW. We will get about 1-3" of snow out of this initial batch of snow through Saturday night.

Then on Sunday, the Nor-Easter will intensify, but also start pumping in some warmer air in the higher reaches of the atmosphere. That will translate into heavy wet snow, but also sleet and freezing rain, especially the farther South you are. That wintry mix will eventually end as just plain snow again late Sunday/Sunday night when the storm starts to move away. But the winds will be picking up and it will turn.

The bottom line is we will end up with about 5-10" inches of snow & Sleet by mid Monday. Then it will turn chilly and blustery for the rest of Presidents Day.

After that the weather will settle down, but it will stay cold through the rest of the week.

The road crews have been prepping for this Nor-Easter. With another round of snow expected to wallop the state this weekend, crews are hard at work preparing for the impacts.

They are forecasting an inch an hour for some of it on Sunday, during what's expected to be the seasons biggest storm so far. The road crews will head out Saturday afternoon and evening, and then ramp up operations through Sunday morning. This is the time for Vermonters to hunker down and stay out of the way of road crews - I am not going anywhere this weekend. They are saying that if you don't need to be out, there is no reason to be out there and put yourself into any danger. They are also saying the roads won't be bare until Monday.
