There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The day after Christmas here in Indiana. Early this morning we had some rain showers but luckily our temperatures were above freezing. Currently 43°F with some clouds and little bit of rain.

Just gonna be a Grey Day for us.
Mostly cloudy here in the desert today. The high will only get to 65 degrees. This afternoon the skies will clear and we will have a nice starry night. The overnight low will be 45. There is no rain in the forecast. Interesting..... As I type this on my laptop, each letter rings a bell! Don't know if it's just my computer or the forum site. Kinda neat though. Stay safe..... Jim
Friday morning and we have 48°F. Chance of getting some rain today is 96%. So I believe it will be a rainy day. The weather is going to be a little crazy for the next few days. Normally we have the temperature in the 25°F - 34°F this time of year.
Today's high at 52°F with rain.
Low of 51°F and rain showers.
Should be a very wet day for Indiana.
Everybody stay Healthy and stay Warm.
All good here.
We had off and on all day rain yesterday. Received about half of an inch of rain. We were short on rain here in Indiana. Have not heard anything yet about flooding issues so far.
Currently cloudy sky and 48°F. Maybe take the truck to the truck wash and get it cleaned up. Not a big deal just have to wait in line.
Today's numbers are looking good.
High of 53°F with mostly cloudy sky.
Low at 50°F. Maybe get a little sun.
Sunday's numbers are good.
High of 50°F and a chance of showers.
Low at 48°F.
Last weekend of the year 2024.
Time to talk about plans for 2025.
Everything is good for me.
Enjoy your Ryde Time and stay Healthy.
Till next time.
Wife and I took a ryde around Lake Anna on Christmas Day on our machines. Temps were in the middle forties.
Since then it's been rainy/drizzly. Spyders are dry in the garage.
We've ridden every month since June of 2023.
Well here in Vermont, we have a lot of weather action ahead of us as we go through these days of 2024 and move into the new year of 2025
Temps will continue to be warm for a few more days, but the warmer air also will accompanied by some wet weather.
The rest of Saturday could still feature some pockets of freezing drizzle, especially in northern NY closer to the St. Lawrence Valley.
Then on Sunday. a batch of rain showers will move through in the afternoon. A heavier, steadier batch of rain will come through Sunday night into Monday, and it will turn breezy too.
The good news is the there will be a break in the weather action just in time for New Eve, which is looking pretty quiet and fairly mild. Also another system will be approaching with more rain Tuesday night. Hopefully, the rain will hold off until after the midnight hour when we ring int the new year, but it will be close. In the southern part of Vermont will have the best bet at getting in some rain just before the new year begin's.
2025 will start with rain showers,. but then we will have colder air coming back in late in the day on blustery NW winds, the rain will mix with, then change to, snow showers, especially in the higher elevations, where there may be a few inches of new snow accumulations. Snow showers will continue into Thursday.
There will still be a chance for a few snow showers on Friday into Saturday, especially in the mountains.
Monday morning and the air is a little bit chilly 39°F.
Yesterday's rain was just what we needed for Indiana. Currently we have cloudy sky and no rain.
High today of 46°F.
Low at 43°F.
Maybe get some showers late tonight. I have standing water areas in my yard. That means I have a very nice supply of water.
Looking forward to the New Year 2025. Now only 2 days away
As always stay Healthy and enjoy your Ryde Times.
Here in Vermont the temps are 50 degrees and cloudy/ rain.
Today started off on a very mild note with most of us waking up to temps in the 40's and 50's. While we are mild, our day starts with a few leftover rain showers as well. Rain chances gradually dwindle into the latter half of the morning, with a few sunny breaks possible come the afternoon. Temps will be falling into the day ahead as well, with all of us back in the low mid 40's come this afternoon and evening. Tonight looks mainly dry and quite, however a bit of moisture coming in off of Lake Ontario could bring a few rain and snow showers into Northern New York,
2024 will end up an OK day for New Year's Eve. Skies will mostly cloudy, but temps will be in the mid 40's.
We will get more rain showers that will be moving in Tuesday night from south to north. Right now, it looks like those rain showers will get in here just before the stroke of midnight in the southern part of Vermont, but it will still be dry in the the Northern areas of Vermont. Then that rain will overspread the area during the rest of the night.
The first day of 2025 will start with those rain showers, but as colder air comes in increasingly blustery NW winds, the rain showers will change over to snow showers. There could be a few inches of snow accumulation late Wednesday into Thursday, mainly in the higher elevations, with little or no accumulation in the valleys.
Temps will be more January-like as we get towards the end to the week and into the weekend as we fall back into the teens and 20's.
Currently at my location we do not have any snow on the ground( off topic, this is not good for the snowmobile season).
Still no rain here in the desert and none in sight. Yesterday it was 75 degrees and today will be about the same. The overnight low will be in the mid 40s. There are no clouds. The breeze is at 3 MPH with "gusts" up to 6. Stay safe..... Jim
