Currently the temp here in Vermont is 69 degrees and cloudy.

This past weekend we had a nice weather( sun shine, the temps were comfortable in the 70's, and 80's).

Now it is back to the same old weather, wet & stormy weather that could lead to some flash flooding problems again. Today will start out with just a bit of sunshine to the north, but clouds will quickly be on the increase with scattered rain showers not far behind. There could be a thunderstorm or two, but not much will happen during the daytime hours.

Once we get into the evening & overnight, though, then things will turn more serious. Showers and thunderstorms will come through in waves with potentially heavy down pours, locally. This activity will continue through the day on Tuesday, with the focus of the heavier bands of rain more in our southern areas.

A widespread 1-2" of rain will affect most of us tonight & Tuesday, with as much as 3-4" possible, especially the farther south you are. Localized flash flooding could occur with these passing downpours.

The system bringing this rain will move out on Tuesday night. There may be a lingering shower early Wednesday, up to the north, otherwise the rest of Wednesday is looking fine with lot of sunshine.

Thursday will start out OK, but more rain showers will be moving in late in the day into the overnight hours. It will slowly clear out as we go through the day on Friday.

The upcoming weekend will be nothing like the previous weekend. Showers and possible thunderstorms will be possible both on Saturday & Sunday.

The current temp is 74 degree's and mostly cloudy.

We had rain last night.

Last night we picked up a widespread half inch to two inches of rain through this morning, we fared well in the flooding department this afternoon. There is still the possibility of some localized ponding or flooding in any of the heavier downpours through this evening hours. A Flood Watch remains in effect for most of the area through the evening.

Scattered showers will linger into the overnight hours tonight, tapering off by Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be pleasant day overall. The day starts mostly cloudy with more sun emerging as the day progresses. Temps will be near normal with highs in the mid 70's and low 80's. Dew points won't be as high as today as we return to more comfortable humidity levels.

Air quality remains good, and should remain good to moderate through Wednesday. A very narrow plume of elevated smoke will pass overhead Wednesday, but won't impact the entire area or the entire day.

The chance for showers or storms returns by Thursday afternoon and evening, But Friday is look dry. Most of Saturday should be OK too. The chance for wet weather returns late Saturday and Sunday, with another chance for showers to start next week.

Mother nature turn off your water spicket here in the north east!

:coffee:...Still hoping for more rain today. I received three 5 minutes of rain periods yesterday. This makes for a more humid day. So today is very humid (97%). Currently some clouds and 64°F.

Today it's 84°F with clouds and maybe some afternoon rain showers.
Low at 64°F and maybe some evening rain. Time will tell on the rain.

Somehow most of our rain ends up in Ohio. Or even farther east. Indiana is having a dry spell since mid May. The Farmers are getting just enough to make their crops grow.

Enjoy your Day. ....

Last month in Vermont the governor declared the state of Emergency due to the catastrophic flooding. The flooding was worse then the 1927 flood. People lost everything that they had, ( their personal belongings, cars, houses, businesses lost everything. The state of Vermont made the national news.

is your brother OK?

That is a lot of rain.

An interesting day yesterday. We had severe t-storm warnings come up around 6:30 PM yesterday. The sky immediately turned black, the counties to the west and north of us were all severe t-storm warnings. It got very still and the temp rose about 10 degrees and became very humid. I thought we were going to be in for it.

As it got dark out--about 8:30 PM there was a tornado watch out for the county to our west. Thunder storms started and the lightning and thunder was right over our home for a short time. We lost power one time, but it came back on almost instantly.

The storms rolled across our area on and off all night long. Happily, no severe wind or hail in our area. We had our weather radio set to alert most of the night, and it fired off a few times.

Today, beautiful and sunny.

Back to normal here in the desert S.W. Our streak of excessive heat days seems to be over, at least for now. Highs will be in the mid 100s with overnight lows in the low to mid 80s. Today is partly cloudy and the high will be 105. Was awakened at 3AM by the sound of thunder. Just a passing storm that didn't produce any rain.

Sad story in the news yesterday. An IDIOT took his 2 dogs on a hike. He had to have people come rescue him and the dogs when they were suffering heat problems. One of the dogs didn't survive. Besides being extremely stupid, we have laws against having pets on hiking trails when the temperature is above 100 degrees. He was cited and his story plastered all over the news. Hope others learn from this idiot's actions. Heat kills people and other things. Stay safe..... Jim

105 degrees in East Texas today. No rain in the last 30 days and none in the forecast. Supposed to be over 100 degrees for the next seven days. I got the sprocket recall done Tuesday, but not really excited about going for a ride yet.
