...Welcome to the Mighty Month of August. We are going to have a grand time Posting Up Local Area Weather News. Today is the First of August so we can get on with the Season.
Here in Indiana we have been seeing the temperatures all over the place.

I would like to send Prayers to the people who are still dealing with water and heat issues. I hope things are improving and that you can get back to the normal routines of Life. My Local TV media has been somewhat limited on what is reported on the 'real issues'. If you know what I mean.
Anyhow enough on that.

Today we will have mostly sunny and clear skies, currently we are at 59°F.
Calling for a high of 82°F and no rain in the forecast.
Low of 58°F.

So join us for the 'days of summer' (Indiana) and post up about your Local Weather Area News.
I still enjoy reading all of the 'Local Area Weather News' from around the world. ....:spyder:

As Always Please Enjoy Your Day and Remember to Stay Healthy. ....:coffee:

Thank You, Little Blue .....

Today will be the 40th day of 100+ degrees here in Austin. It is already 100 at 11:30 am. My digital thermometer read 113 yesterday. The previous 4 days were 112. We have had no rain since late May. A lot of brown around, and not much green. The forecast is for 105 and higher into Monday of next week. Needless to say, I'm not doing much riding unless I get out around 6 am.

Welcome to August. Same old, same old here in AR. Warm days hovering near the 100's. Intermittent rain the last couple days. More on the way. Lots of heavy wind storms and damage to our North in Missouri. Temps supposed to be cooling off by the weekend. Time will tell.

Howdy from the desert S.W.! Yesterday we ended our record of consecutive days of temperatures above 110. That streak lasted for 31 days. It's nice to get back to more normal temps. Highs are expected in the mid 100s and lows in the mid 80s for the next 10 days. We have been seeing some thunderstorm activity for the last few nights. Loud enough to wake me up at 2 or 3 in the morning. They do pass quickly, usually lasting no more the 1/2 hour. By sunup there is no evidence of the rain. Happy August and stay safe..... Jim

Wednesday 8/02/23

:coffee:...Yesterday I enjoyed the cooler weather and got a fair amount of yard work done. The storm last week brought down a lot of tree branches. That's always a big mess for me.
Currently we have clear skies and 61°F.

Today's numbers for 84°F and 63°F.
Lots of sunshine and less humidity.
Calling for some rain showers later tonight.
I will cut the grass and then we probably won't get the rain. Been doing that most of the summer. Oh well just part of Life.

Stay Healthy and enjoy your Ryde Times. ....

Supposed to be cool and rainy for the beginning of the Rally. They’re talking around 70 and rain Friday through Monday.

Thursday 7/3/23

:coffee:...Well folks it didn't rain this morning or overnight. I cut my grass and now no rain till Saturday. Currently we have 64°F with some clouds.

High today of 85°F with sunshine.
Low at 62°F and no rain in the forecast.

Be Safe and Enjoy your Day. ....

Any news on the Flood Zones in your area?
TV News is not saying anything about it here in Indiana. Hopefully everyone has been able to find some relief from the heat.

I live about 25 miles east of Phoenix. It's usually 2-4 degrees cooler here because I'm away from the heat of the city infrastructures. But, I'm still seeing highs of 105-107 most days. So Phoenix is getting right up there to 110! Not much heat relief at night. Lows at my house are about 85 with Phoenix only cooling down to about 90. Our heat related death count keeps rising. A good number of those deaths are homeless people. The cities and counties have opened many cooling centers for those in need. Phoenix has even parked some big busses in strategic areas for people to get out of the heat.

For most of the country this is prime riding season. For us, it's the time when bikes stay in hibernation waiting for cooler days ahead. This year I've lost my appetite for doing my usual 4-6 week summer road trip. I think last year's trip took a lot out of me. I may still do some touring in the little Mustang convertible I acquired last month though. Stay safe..... Jim

This week has actually been pretty nice. Humidity was a bit high, but temps stayed in the lower to mid 80's. Today it has been a nice 67* cloudy day with a soaking rain. Should be raining on and off till tomorrow night. We can use the rain - so good deal.

It is currently raining here in Vermont, We are getting thundershowers now.

Today the temps were in the 60's and partly cloudy.

This weekend the weather is supposed to be nice.

:bbq:...Well folks the hot and humid days are coming, currently 63°F. Yesterday was the last of four days with nice conditions, low 80s and low humidity.
Indiana August days are hot and humid. Weather People are saying get ready for the days ahead.

Today we will have 88°F with sunshine.
Low of 63°F.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy your Ryde Times. ....

Yesterday's forecast underestimated how high the temperature would get. We hit 110! :yikes: Same for today. The couple days we had of "cooler" weather were nice. Now it looks like we're right back to 110s+ with no rain in the foreseeable future. I'm getting ready to head for the pool!!!! Stay safe..... Jim

Weekend Weather 8/05 - 8/06/23

:coffee:...Good Morning and currently clear sky with 68°F.
Calling for a rain shower this afternoon. We sure need some. I washed the car so that usually means we will have some rain. ....:roflblack:....:roflblack:

Today's high should be 79°F with some sunshine.
Low of 64°F. Maybe get some rain showers.

Sunday's numbers are the same as Saturday's.
Calling for off and on all day rain here.
They have been saying this for the last 7 days.

Oh well, we will get what we get and be Happy.
Everything is going well at this end.
Hope you are doing great. ....

It has been hot mostly this month. We are in the "excessive heat warning" area now of the weather map. Today is supposed to bring some heavy rain showers. That will be a nice change from the status quo.

Hot, no clouds, no rain, 3 MPH breeze. At 3PM it is 108 and getting hotter as the day progresses. Just because I have way too much time on my hands, I decided to measure the temperature of my driveway (concrete) and the street (asphalt). Using my digital temperature sensor, the concrete measures 140.0 degrees. The asphalt, only a few feet away, is 160.7 degrees. Not barefoot or pet friendly! The heat radiation from roads is one of key factors that causes me to keep my bike in hibernation this time of year. Stay safe..... Jim

Naturally I could still use those 2 or 3 truckloads of rain. Thank You for your offer. ...:roflblack:....:roflblack:

Today's numbers are 73°F with some clouds and maybe a little rain shower in the afternoon.
